  • Try your local pond first and actually see what's in there before traveling out of state to fish.

  • While CS's advice is good, you might want to try a Trad online courting service. Not sure if any of these are good, but I know the forum owner met his wife online:

I agree with s2srea. Looking at your Trad chapel would be your best bet, but if there is no one there for you (or if you don't have access to a Trad chapel), online Trad courting would be the next thing to try.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • There might be some people right here, posting or lurking, maybe Matthew could assign an area for single people.

If your not too shy to post a real picture of yourself, and tell a little about what you like to do, such as hobbies, employment, goals etc.

Many of us I am sure might even recommend the single traditional Catholic girls and guys we know to view the information.
    Please pray for my soul.

Someone recommended this in the past. I wouldn't mind seeing such a subforum.

  • Right SS, and especially since Matthew himself, met his beautiful wife this way.

Singles need all the help they can get these days, especially Traditional Catholics.

  • I like the idea too, but I don't think it should be public. Not with folks like Hobsn lurking around here.

It would have to be hidden like the User Video's page/thread (whatever it is), with similar conditions for participation.

On the other hand, the forum is the last place a person should look for a date, IMO. If you don't think so, just look at your posting history and you'll see what I mean. Flattering ain't it? lol.

  • What is typical for 2 Catholics meeting each other with the possibility of marriage? Do they meet as friends and stay friends for a while until things move any further? Dating/Courting confuses me these days. Some people see it as anything goes. Other people don't want anything quick...they just want to take time to get to know someone on a friendship level before any romance starts. This is how I approach things. I know that I want love so I guess I have high standards when it comes to this kind of thing. Many other people say they want love but sex is something they feel they can't resist, and they just play it as it goes.

  • Yes, but on the other hand you can see the true personality of what you will be living with for the rest of your life.  That is if you really marry said person.  No surprises!

There is some truth to that, but you can only find out so much about a person from reading their blog posts.

And consider how often we take each others posts out of context. You really don't want to start off courting someone by having to clarify every single thing they read on here before you're even properly acquainted.
