Also, random question, should a baby's head be covered? We have been practicing and she doesn't keep anything on for very long.
Since I have been going to traditional Mass, I have always covered my baby girl's heads.
One of my daughters was 18 months old when we first starting going and I bought hats for her. She adjusted pretty well. Whenever she would take it off, I would put it back on, look her in the eye, and tell her she needed to wear her hat because it made Jesus happy. It took a little while, but she finally got it.
Our youngest daughter has been wearing a hat or bonnet since birth. Now that she is almost 2, she started taking off her hat. But I tell her the same as I told my other and she is okay.
It just takes practice and consistency. She will get it.
My oldest daughter has never had a problem wearing a veil.
I know some little babies aren't covered and no one seems to bother about it, so I don't know if it is a requirement, but I think it's good practice. They get used to it faster.
