  • Anyone here know about copyright laws?

As some of you might know, I have a online greeting card shop, and some of my cards are from old holy cards I collected over the years, images that are in public domain.

Others on this site who also have online shops, are disturbed because the site now is kicking their designs off; seems that they are using scripture, Bible verses within their cards.

Greeting Card Universe,(the sites name) says they can't quote scripture within their cards because it is against copyright laws. In other words they say that to quote from the Bible is against copyright laws.

How can anyone copyright the word of God?

    Any lawyers out there?

Wait a minute- what if they are bibles in the public domain over @ archive.org. The books there can be shared precisely because they're older than copyright laws allow for. I'd head over there and ask around. I'm sure you'd get some quick answers.
