  • how does a family who were baptized as Methodists convert to Catholicism?

     And if they were married in the Methodist Church do they have to have a Catholic Wedding then?

     What about the children?  They are legitimate right?

  • Question 1:  Visit a local traditional priest who will provide instruction the couple is properly received into the Church which will likely require a conditional Baptism and confession.

    Question 2:  No, but the couple should have their marriage blessed.

    Question 3:  Yes, they are completely legitimate.  Children of natural marriages (i.e., not sacramental Catholic marriages) are always considered legitimate.  The children of two married pagans are also legitimate.
