The political conservatives have a name for crying socialists, for nervous nellies, for those who see a government solution around every 'crisis'. They call them, moonbats, or nutroots (the dailykos site not only proudly call themselves kossacks, but believe they are in the forefront of something called the, netroots - thus, the derogatory, nutroots). Paul has been called a Democrat, who is wearing no disguise, not even to be called a RINO (ala Swartzenegger, the RINO, though he seems about ready to switch parties). Some have called McCain a Democrat who thinks he's in disguise - but maybe an 'old southern' Dem, at best? Bush himself isn't so far from that, given his domestic agenda.

Huckabee. Hunter. Even Fred Thompson as a longshot. Some like the Mormon, Romney. Those are the GOP's best shot, and I'd vote Hunter at this point. The Dem might look to Hillary as a 'front-runner'. But I wouldn't be surprised that they nominate Richardson. He's being promoted by the leftist establishment, even now, as the new 'man from hope', as it were. The networks and papers are frothing at the chance to promote his candidacy, I think moreso than for our former 'co-President'.

If the GOP win, it's doubtful much would be accomplished domestically, at least if they don't follow the Bush over-spending model. Indeed, they'd probably try to trim things down, as did Reagan. If the Dem win, then the media will be shrill about how it is again 'morning in America', and that whatever goes wrong is somehow all the GOP's fault in Congress, or in the statehouses. Look for official national and state persecution of what would be deemed conservative opinion. And I think true and faithful Catholics would also necessarily hear 'Henry's secret police banging on the neighbor's door. And their fight would be on to silence not only talk radio, but opinions such as you see, here, on the www.

But let me be 'bearish', as others on this forum, and wax pessimistic. Because then again, given the GOP love for the NWO, perhaps it's more a difference in degree, than kind. We'll see, or I'll see if I manage to live through the next decade or so. Certainly the unrepentant 'movers and shakers' have something up their sleeves to further destroy true civilization and genuine progress by I'd say the year 2020, probably a few years sooner than that. The next recession will be telling, perhaps. Might be even next year, if the press can gin it up to support the Dem. What God will allow, we will see. Where God will not answer the prayers of the faithful to bring an end to this madness, in the Vatican, in Moscow and Beijing, and even in London and DC, and elsewhere, then such is God's Will, not fatalism, not indifference, but His Will. The enemy is strong and entrenched. But if God Wills, we overcome. That is, Lepanto really did happen.

Only by God. God is our hope, in what happens in this life and reality, and so that we may be worthy in the next, and not just merely approach worthily, but having been transformed, as properly dressed and prepared for the banquet and the feast. Our strength is in God, not in how we otherwise would fight back or attempt to reign in 'reform' and liberalism. We must still speak, and voice opposition to what is wrong in all spheres of life. Don't get me wrong. But they will be defeated because God will have his reckoning - not revenge, but vengeance. It is God's alone, not ours. And our duty is to do as we ought, stand by Him and against such things as Roman Protestantism, and pray like there were no tomorrow, in the hope of a better tommorow.
