  • It is said that the Sacrament of Confirmation makes us soldiers of Christ.  What does that really mean?  Well, one man Hugh Akins who has been a tremendous soldier of Christ for over 40 years sheds a great light on that subject in his latest and arguably greatest book ѕуηαgσgυє Rising seen at ѕуηαgσgυє Rising as well as  ѕуηαgσgυє Rising Website.

In addition to the above two sites where the book may be ordered, a superb review of this stunning near 800 page book on Judaism and the Catholic Counter-Revolution can be found at the April 24, 2013 post at Bellarmine Report as well as the April 23, 2013 post at Watching the Wicked Seed.

The book's cover and actual review of this stunning work is set forth here for your convenience:

ѕуηαgσgυє Rising: A Catholic Worldview of Anti-Christian Judaism and Counterrevolutionary Resistance

    By Hugh Akins Copyright 2012
Reviewed by James B. Phillips, J.D.

When I first considered writing a book review of ѕуηαgσgυє Rising (SR), I figured no big deal.  I could not have been more mistaken.  In my ever-increasing desire to do real justice to the near 800 page book, I seemed to find myself increasingly short of the mark.  What I had hoped to complete in a relatively short time dragged on and on.  Finally, I realized that although my review of the book would fall short of my ideal it still had to get done.  What follows is my attempt to do justice to a true masterpiece.

Hugh Akins is a well established author, activist, and leader in Catholic Action.  SR, his magnum opus to date is a stunning and frightening in depth Catholic look at the New/Jєω World Order.  More importantly, it is a magnificent and inspiring clarion call to arms, a call to Christian arms to rise up against the world-wide ʝʊdɛօ-Masonic anti-Christ agenda.  As is made abundantly clear throughout the text, this call to arms which is nothing less than a call to militant Catholic Action is much more daunting, though far from impossible, in an age where the recent popes have been most seriously struck and the faithful are scattered.

Akins makes the case, and in this reviewer’s opinion a fairly conclusive one, that the NWO and Zionism are actually one and the same thing.  The author elaborates: “The nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr is where Zionism intends to take all the peoples and nations of earth, and Zionism seeks nothing less than a Universal Satanic Republic under тαℓмυdic Rule.” [p. xxii]  Akins, as the reader quickly discovers, is no waffling wallflower or prevaricating potted plant.  For Akins the hunker in the Catholic bunker mentality is clearly not acceptable.  His true – and many years tested — Catholic militancy is reflected in his sharp and hard-hitting style.  No doubt, he would like this book to be a real game changer, something no less powerful than Boniface’s grace driven axe which the saintly bishop used to fell the Germanic pagans’ mighty oak tree idol some 12 centuries ago. Readers may recall another Catholic bishop.  A few years ago he took a mere swing at an even much greater idol, the Judaic Big Mama of all modern sacred тαℓмυdic cows “the h0Ɩ0cαųst.”  Akins, much to his credit, gives significant coverage to the big “H,” a whole chapter in fact.  He utterly demolishes the credibility of the demonically inspired six million gas chamber fairytale.  At the same time, as if to give the devil his due, he explains the incredibly powerful destructive force of this false “Shoah must go on” victimhood myth.

Akins, as the book’s sub-title clearly indicates, is not concerned with merely exposing the belly of the crypto/criminal-Judaic beast.  He knows full well as expressed in the Church’s Magisterial teachings exactly wherein lie the silver bullets that could and would lay low the beast if only they were fired.  He explains what these bullets consist of.  They are of various calibers, but they all have Catholic Action spelled on them.  The author informs us that this Catholic Action is of a spiritual and a temporal nature and that the spiritual must at all times drive the temporal if it is to be holy and worthy of its name.   In this regard Akins takes his cue from Dom Chautard’s spiritual classic Soul of the Apostolate, that profound book on Catholic Action that was so close to the heart of St. Pius X.

Before expanding on SR’s powerful theme as spelled out in the subheading of the title, “A Catholic Worldview of Anti-Christian Judaism and Counterrevolutionary Resistance” headlined across the book’s startling and provocative front cover (seen at the author’s two sites: www.CatholicActionResourceCenter.com and www.ѕуηαgσgυєRising.com), a few words about the author himself should be of interest.  Now in his mid-sixties, Akins like a modern day Ignatius of Loyola (although, he might cringe at the comparison) had once laid in bed recovering from a serious battle wound.  The year was 1969, the place a military hospital in Taiwan.  Akins had survived multiple injuries during two intense years of fighting in Vietnam with the173rd Airborne Brigade.  Now, as he lay recovering, some of the mystery of iniquity began to unfold before him.  For the first time he learned about the great miracle and message of Fatima.  Shortly thereafter he got a hold of Pius XI’s riveting encyclical on communism.  From then on – and having already learned that the U.S. had been aiding her #1 Cold War enemy Russia during the Vietnam war – Akins was a man on fire, heaven bent on doing all he could to promote a Catholic vision for America, an America which he realized was fast losing its grip on whatever remained of its at least partial Christian heritage.

The road that Akins, a strong family man, chose to follow some 44 years ago has been anything but easy.  He has faced strong opposition on various fronts including – and what is most heartbreaking and troubling – the traditional Catholic one.  Due to his bold and unflinching stands as a leader in true traditional Catholic Action he has he has been subject to much vicious detraction.  More than detraction though — even death threats have come his way.

On May 10, 2006 Akins was actually ambushed by two thugs .  He reacted immediately and put up a short, but fierce hand-to-hand struggle, only to be over-powered when shot in the neck.  The bullet barely missed the jugular, then shattered his clavicle and ended up in his upper chest.  It remains there to this day due to the enormous risk of puncturing the lung were its removal to be attempted.  The violent confrontation which took place on a public street in broad daylight just outside of Orlando, Florida resulted in a helicopter medivac and the lockdown of three nearby schools.  The crime has never been solved.

In the pages of SR, however, something great has been solved or rather answered.  It is the perplexing and vexing problem of what people, especially Catholics, can do to fully combat the seemingly immeasurable scourge of тαℓмυdic Judaism whose manifestations are certainly legion. Akins concentrates his attention on the United States of America: “It’s not an exaggeration to say that тαℓмυdic Jєωry dominates every aspect of American life and that, as a consequence, we have become a nation occupied by the demonic.”  Nevertheless, much of what he states in the book can be applied – as per the book’s sub-title — to much of the rest of the world at large.

The following is a quick run down of SR’s important pre-chapter format/content:  1) A breathtaking book cover in deadly color – that of an enraged rabbi with arms outstretched while glaring up at the sky as though he is cursing God.  Behind him an immense nuclear fireball containing the Star of David consumes an American city.  Behind the city’s skyline and caught up in the burning is the American flag.  (Needless to say, the symbolism is not exactly understated.)  I have credible information to believe that at least one traditional Catholic publisher has refused to carry an ad for SR based on this cover alone.  2) One page into the book the author wisely preempts much of the flak his work will receive by stating in large bold print: “Truth will only be thought of as a hate crime by those who hate the truth.”  3) Dedication and acknowledgments especially to the heroic Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who like the author has been calumniated as an αnтι-ѕємιтє  4) A few pages of eye-opening quotes, all the way from the Prophet Isaiah to Karl Marx, from the Angelic Doctor to Fr. Denis Fahey.  These quotes sagaciously set the stage for the book’s epic field of battle between Catholic Action and тαℓмυdic Judaism, between good and evil, between the Mystical Body of Christ and the “Mystical Body of Satan.”  5) An extended table of contents (which may be seen at www.CatholicActionResourceCenter.com as well as www.ѕуηαgσgυєrising.com/book-contents) – most helpful in keeping a sense of order, not to mention recollection, to the vast array of topics and sub-topics covered in the book  6) A page of passages from Sacred Scripture wherein Our Lord excoriates the Scribes and Pharisees in a way which if He were to to do it in Israel today would presumably have Him shot or beaten to death on the spot.  Certainly a stark reminder to us of how the Bible will come under increased attack as hate literature!  7) An essential commentary on the Church’s two-part teaching concerning the Jєωs (which is elaborated on in the third chapter  8) A substantial 49-page preface in which the author tells us up front and in no uncertain terms the general lay of the extremely evil world landscape, a landscape that is seen in terms of apostasy from God.  Akins spells out exactly what this apostasy means.  “By apostasy is meant that a crisis of faith is at the core of today’s crisis of civilization.  It is both a spiritual and social apostasy, a defection from the one true faith in its theological and temporal manifestations and extensions.  [p. ii]  Akins is wont to remind us that as the Church goes so goes the world.  Furthermore, he gives us a preview of how we got to where we are and how we have both the God given right and the God given duty to combat the anti-Christ Zionist juggernaut.  Nothing less than the Kingdom of Christ on earth is at stake and yet Akins realizes that the Church Militant has for the most part gone AWOL.  Knowing that the vast majority of Christ’s army on earth is either asleep at the switch or have deserted their post, Akins nevertheless, and like an Old Testament prophet, still struggles on with no small amount of passion.  In carrying the torch of truth, he correctly informs us that Catholic Action has a threefold mission that is spiritual, social, and counterrevolutionary.  Perhaps needless to say, the counterrevolutionary aspect is the hardest pill to swallow for most Catholics so it is the one Akins hammers away hardest on.

Before proceeding, a bit of advice from the author himself may prove helpful.  It is found on some of his promotional material: “Relax and enjoy – or get angry and take notes (Remember Saint Alphonus de Liguori said that there are two characteristics that make a saint: 1) Zeal for the things of God; and 2) Indignation over the things that offend God.  So, it’s OK to get angry, if it’s for the right reasons and properly directed).”  SR gives us right reasons galore to get angry: all the while, however, the author steers us in the proper direction of counterrevolutionary Catholic Action lest our righteous indignation becomes sterile or even counter productive.

No doubt, SR will have its good desired effect among many of its readers.  Still, there may be some “big brave” Catholics who get no further than the cover before they decide to go no further, if for no other reason than the imagined glance from the cashier.  (Ah, the joys of ordering online!)  Others who make it past the cover may to their loss reject SR for its lack of an index.  In the push for a publication which had become overdue that was an understandable, but nevertheless unfortunate omission, but one which the author is already working to have fixed in a much hoped for 2nd edition.  Another of the book’s shortcomings is not any lack of footnotes (there are 1,770 of them), but the fact that they are not always as complete as one might ideally wish them to be.  Again, this should not be an insurmountable problem for a future edition.  Another item, one of style, which some readers might take issue with, is the use of boldface words, phrases, and sentences the author utilizes for obvious purposes of emphasis.  Quite possibly, just as many, if not more readers will appreciate this style as an aid to mentally highlighting and finding key points and passages.

A much more important criticism of the book, albeit without any real substantive evidence behind it, is the age old canard of anti-Semitism  Akins calmly addresses this charge in detail and in doing so thoroughly refutes it.  Nevertheless, of course, that will not free him from being considered an αnтι-ѕємιтє under the relatively recent and much broader terminology, which defines an αnтι-ѕємιтє as not one who hates Jєωs, but as one who Jєωs hate.  Actually, even then a fearless and honest Jєω should not hate the author for what he has written, but should rather appreciate the fact that he has written it since it is the truth.  In any event, the author no doubt knows that trying to extract himself from the αnтι-ѕємιтє charge is akin to trying to struggle out of quicksand.  Others may sometimes help you out (at least partially anyway), but left to your own devices requires a near miracle to succeed.

Very likely, the hardest thing for many a reader of SR to deal with will be the sheer massive amount of serious information he is confronted with.  Additionally, the book’s very serious content should cause some serious reflection on the reader’s part – at least for the serious reader.  That said, let the Catholic steer with it while the anti-Catholic can sneer at it.

Finally, it is good to note that SR is truly a multi-dimensional work: historical, political, socio-economic, religious, theological, and spiritual.

Allow me to finish this review in a somewhat unconventional way by giving you more of a real taste for its content via the very words of the author himself and five other individuals whom he quotes.

—–“As God’s grace builds on nature, Satan seeks to destroy nature and the natural order for the purpose of overturning the Empire of God in the human soul and temporal world alike.” [p. iv]

—–“World Jєωification means World Communization, and nothing less.” [p. xxii-xxiii]

—–“The Reign of тαℓмυdic Judaism is the Reign of Antichrist and Satan which is why Catholics above all others are morally compelled to fight the Zionist Scourge and the diabolic principles, powers and programs behind it with great resolve and energy as well as with knowledge, prayer, discipline and the Magisterial program consisting of training, organization and concerted militant action.” [p. xxiv]

—–“Without true Christian humility and discernment, knowledge becomes an unprofitable, deceptive and even dangerous counterfeit.  Regretfully, a lot of traditional Catholics have allowed themselves to become poisoned by such a counterfeit knowledge, becoming pridefully smug and unproductively complacent in their prevailing ignorance disguised as knowledge.  This explains why so many of them have become casualties of the conspiracy mongers and thereby lost to the Catholic Action Counterrevolution.” [p. xli]

—–“Atheism out and of Russia, like liberty out of the West, is the mere pretext the Revolution holds to be immensely more sacred: the pretext for that ultimate Jєωιѕн hegemony which, being Satanic, transcends and supercedes every other form of authoritarian tyranny.  Satan, you will recall, was no atheist but a believer, even if the most odious of fallen and banished ones.” [p.12]

—–“Heaven’s Lady of Guadalupe and not ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry’s Harlot of the Harbor (Lady Liberty…) was the first recognized Empress of the America’s.” [p.84]

—–“Thanks mostly to Israel and our own Zionist leadership, we are the most hated nation on earth – and this puts our families, our communities and our country at enormous risk and unnecessary risk.” [139]

—–“What is, indeed, ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry today if not the concentration and mobilization of all evil forces?  This sect, with its threefold claim of being counter-Church, counter-state, and counter-morality…This accursed sect whose perversion was stigmatized by Pope Pius IX when he named it ‘The ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan.’” [Msgr. Jouin, p. 183]

—–“…the Church had nothing to do with the rise of modern anti-Semitism.  The main source of anti-Semitism then and now is Jєωιѕн behavior.” [E. Michael Jones, p. 296]

—–“This testimony is true.  Therefore, rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith instead of giving heed to Jєωιѕн myths or to commands of men who reject the faith.” [St. Paul in Titus 1:13, 14, quoted on p. 489 in the context of a discussion of the Jєωιѕн 6 million h0Ɩ0cαųst fable/myth]

—–“The real deniers are those who refuse to face the reality of the h0Ɩ0cαųst Big Lie.” [p. 490]

—–“Liberals are broad-minded in doctrine because they do not believe firmly, and pitiless in practice because they do not really love.” [Fr. Reginaldo Garrigou-Lagrange, p. 562]

—–“What it amounts to is this: Give the devil an inch and he’ll take a yard; give him a yard and he’ll take a mile; concede to him a lie the size of the h0Ɩ0cαųst and he’ll take THE WORLD!” [p 597]

—–“At some point in time it has escaped them, or was never taught them – even in the traditional seminaries, colleges, schools and homeschool programs.  That is why such issues as тαℓмυdism, Zionism and h0Ɩ0cαųstism appear in their confused minds as political or historical rather tan, first and foremost, religious and theological.  Their thinking is wrong because these various isms are always, everywhere and invariably at war with Christ and Catholicism, at war especially with Our Lord’s Divinity, Doctrine, Mystical Body, Perpetual Sacrifice and Social Kingship.  Their thinking is wrong because these isms are essentially satanic, as we said, their aim to eradicate Christianity from the face of the earth.” [p. 651]

—–“The world will either be saved by Catholic Action or lost to some form of atheistic Bolshevism” [Pius XI, p. 654]

—–“Men must work out their salvation through their state in life, and no small part of this work is the religious combat in the social arena.” [p. 655]

—–“Catholic Action that refuses to recognize the International Zionist Conspiracy as the greatest threat, at this late hour and under these critical circuмstances, is hardly more than a worthless imitation.” [p.680]

—–“We are convinced that the main reason most of our fellow-traditionalists have no more interest in Catholic Action than do our Novus Ordo counterparts, aside from their ignorance on the subject, is because of the manifest disinterest in most of the clergy.” [p. 691]

It is hoped that the above quotes, in addition to any other good they may have done, have helped to drive home the message of Catholic Action, which the author has worked so hard, to bring to his readers.  Akins rightly contends that it will take much more than the old pre-Vatican II bricks and mortar mentality (which was largely built on sand) to rectify our universal crisis of faith.  SR is a vital and absolutely tremendous help for all Christians who are serious about taking back their country and their world for Christ the King.

We have all been created to know, love and serve God – now and forever.  If it be God’s will may our reading of ѕуηαgσgυє Rising and acting upon its call to Catholic Action be an important aid to us in achieving this goal – now and forever!

Read this excellent book review (ѕуηαgσgυє Rsing) by Mr. Philips last night.

This excerpt is a more precise definition of the problem with Catholic liberals:

—–“Liberals are broad-minded in doctrine because they do not believe firmly, and pitiless in practice because they do not really love.” [Fr. Reginaldo Garrigou-Lagrange, p. 562]
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi
