  • Just heard that there's going to be Confirmations next Sunday in Boston, KY on November 3rd. I really wanted to go for the opening of the seminary this week, but if there will be confirmations the following Sunday, it only makes sense if I go there then to get two of my older children confirmed.

  • So it's not on Sunday. I wish the itsysc website was accurate half of the time :(

It's going to be on Monday night at 6:30PM down there. So... Yeah we'll be down there the day before Bishop Williamson shows and we'll stay for confirmations.

Confirmations: Monday, November 4 at 6:30 PM. Go to that website... ya know, to sign up.

  • Every one I've been to so far, they've tested them beforehand.

It seems to me that it might be time now to re-evaluate the
level of knowledge that is required for readiness for Confirmation.

We live in a time that's not as simple as it was 20 or 30 years
ago, and children need to be better prepared for what they're
going to be facing after they're out on their own.

Add to that the likelihood that a particular candidate is just
going through the motions, and really doesn't believe what he's
being held responsible to reply.   Such a one ought to be "tested"
a little more critically, and if found to be "faking it," should in fact
not be confirmed, even if he can "pass" the academics.

    This is WAR.

Being able to pass a quick and simple test just isn't enough, IMHO.
