Title: Confession and psychological counseling
Post by: jman123 on December 12, 2018, 10:17:58 AM
Someone else posted something here on psychology  . Do you think that the work done by LCSWs can easily be done by a trad priest in confession and or family and marital counseling? Are priest equipped to do this?

Here in California and in other states, it is illegal now for a priest to counsel a child who thinks that he/she should be the other gender.
.
Schools, social workers, teachers, and psychologists are all treating such a child as one needing gender transformation.
.
Yet, this is a serious sin to blame God for creating a person in the wrong gender. It is a sin of pride to think that one knows better than God. It is a sin of arrogance to think that one can do better than God. It is a sin against purity primarily although a young child may not realize this until much older.
.
For the people who convince such a confused child to undergo sex changes, it is akin to murder - spiritually, physically, and mentally as many who undergo such transformations chemically with hormonal therapy and surgically become suicidal because the results are not what they expected.  The hormone therapy has its own side effects. The surgeries required also affect a person as drugs used during surgery and afterwards do have dangerous side effects. In addition, there may be infections due to the surgeries such as MRSA, etc. In other words, surgery always has risks for the child may die during surgery or shortly afterwards. In addition, that child may be scarred physically and emotionally from the surgeries.
.
It is interesting how surgeons, psychologists, social workers, and teachers think that they can play God without consequences. Unfortunately, they are damning themselves to hell for misleading children. It would have been better that these social scientists had never been born than to instruct a child to do something evil to his/her body, mind, and soul. It would have been better that a millstone be tied around the necks of these social scientists, and that they be tossed into the deepest sea.

Even prior to Vatican II, Catholic priests were known as some of the best marriage counselors.

It’s probably because they instructed the couple there is no such thing as divorce. Once you help a couple get any of those thoughts out I believe almost all marriages can be saved.

Didn't you say you are "married to your second husband"?

Yes, but we never married in the church. It was during a time I had fallen away from the church. It was all taken care of well before I met my husband. I’d also like to point out the last time I saw that man he was trying to kill me. So, it’s fair to say I had no trouble with my bishop getting things all squared away.

Sure, if either one of you had been baptized Catholic, then "marriage" outside the Church was null.  Yet subsequently attempting to kill you has nothing to do with the validity of the "marriage".  You should stop referring to him as your "first husband".  You have had only one husband, and this other guy was just someone you were fornicating with.  You should no more refer to him as your ex-husband than you would call any guy you just lived with a husband.

Yeah, he was never Baptized, and considered himself an atheist. I’ve already been to confession, and handled it he way the bishop had told me too. So, besides being a warning for other young girls. I’ve already been making reparations to God. I know what I ddI was wrong, and if I could push a re do button I would. Life doesn’t work like that.

It is also because they used psychology.
