    • I'm a bit confused. I though that by going to confession, one's sins are forgiven, even if their Act of Contrition is not perfect; that the sacrament and the priest perfect an imperfect contrition.

    Am I wrong?

    • That's really weird. I'm almost certain I'd read an article in an old publication for priests (Pre-VII) stating the opposite.

    Please don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I don't have, or do not want, sorry for my sins. I only thought that the sacrament of Confession, as I'd said earlier, perfected an imperfect contrition.
