CMRI overseas??

  • Has any americans or canadians on here gone to the CMRI overseas? Europe or South America? I am curious because it might be a good opportunity for a lot of men on here who are looking for a wife but are having difficulties in their current location.

For the record, I am not in a great financial situation, and I am not even sure 100% marriage is my vocation. This is not so much for me, but for the men who have posted in the thread "Where have all the trad women gone."

Feedback on the sedevacantist culture overseas and potential wife prospects would be greatly appreciated.

An additional question I have, is how come the CMRI never made inroads in Italy?

You should consider the Traditionalist Uniates in the Ukraine.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_Orthodox_Greek_Catholic_Church

Ukrainian women tend to marry at a normal age for marriage.

Russian and Ukrainian women are actually capable of intelligent conversation.  You won't find half-educated wannabe bluestockings who've gone to the Ivy Leagues there.  Even simple girls from villages can know many languages and be very well read.

Have you been there? Has anyone gone to the CMRI in Moscow? If I had the funds, and certain that was my vocation, I may venture there someday

Moscow is very expensive and decadent.

I've never been there but I've talked a lot with someone from there.  Try livemocha.com.

  • I feel like God places everyone of the Faith where they should be for the current moment. Unless work moves you to somewhere else, or your vocation (note: religious) does, then I think its not going to work out. Let me explain, and its just my opinion so that's all it is, not dogmatic or anything.

If one truly believes they are called to marriage, then they should just pursue a modest career in earnest and go where that may go (only good places, of course), and God will place her on your path. This is not to say that you shouldn't leave your home state or go on a trip to see what's out there, but moving somewhere else simply for the sake of finding a wife may be a futile course of action.

Then again, if you truly feel God is moving your heart to go lift up entirely and go, then do what you must.

I agree with the first part, at least this is what happened in my situation. My wife and I should not have ever met but for a very unique set of circuмstances that should never have been possible.

I just looked this group up and I like what I see so far. These people have guts to excommunicate Benedict XVI lol.

Thanks TKGS. I'm not married (ALMOST WAS THOUGH) and need to relax a little bit, and listen to my own advice I guess.

I've always been one to somehow be a mouthpiece of God for good advice, but then fail to follow it. Thanks again TKGS for the humility check.

I'll probably have to move one of these days if I'm going to find a Traditional Catholic girl or even a semi-Trad girl. There are some Catholic girls my age where I live but they're all Novus Ordites, unless there's some semi-Trad in my area that I'm not aware of. You could always try converting a NO Catholic to Tradition but it isn't easy.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

You and me both, brother. There have been a few Traditional-selfproclaiming girls I have talked to, yet they were actually far from it in reality... "Um you like Harry Potter and your favorite holiday of the whole year is Halloween? Sorry, this isnt going to work." Like that...

But always have hope, for in that hope is where God will direct you to where she is. When ever we despair or think its useless to continue onward toward waiting for her to cross our path, is when one needs to continue in devoted prayer and self-sacrifice for your vocation. Ex. keep a money jar for "future vocation" hint hint marriage. If you use it for marriage costs one day or a wedding ring, awesome. If its for the flight to a seminary because you decide that was your calling, awesome too. Just keep the hope in a vocation, that's the point, and with that hope , God will take you there.

Harry Potter sucks. Seems like you rarely ever meet anyone these days that thinks it's evil. I don't like Halloween, I think it's another modern world invention.

So yeah, I'd also dump a girl who liked Harry Potter and Halloween.

Ya but you got to remember that God created women to be assistants to men. That means generally speaking women lack some of the intelligence men have. Which means you can't get too mad at women when they foolishly are attracted to the traps of our modern culture..........its not their fault they don't realize masonic conspiracy like we do.

Remember what Bishop Richard Williamson said: women are the heart of the home, men are the head of the home.

    True.

But I still can have a say in who to court or not. I think if a girl is already swooning over the Twilight guy and reading Harry Potters, that is a corrupted personality... Ya ya, souls can be cleansed and purified , and I am not doubting God can work miracles, but sometimes God gives us prudence to avoid those who are the "snakes in tall grass".

If a woman is into Harry Potter, you don't need to date/court her, because that means she's already rooted in some dangerous stuff.
