  • A thread regarding Michael Hoffman seems to be missing but I would like to address some points.

I haven't the text but to answer PereJoseph and PatrickG, I was not mocking Our Lady nor am I against any doctrine. I am not certain of their specific questions of me.Their allegations are unfounded and I have answered.

Like being accused in the wrong by 'Raphaela', I shall state clearly.

    I pray the rosary daily.
Attribute Our Lady of Fatima to my recovery and healing  after a serious operation.
I have been to Lourdes twice. On both occasions I spent my time there assisting elderly people around the shrine. An abiding memory is wheeling elderly folk back to their hotels after France winning Euro 2000. (Football)
Each Friday, I pray the rosary on the street. (With a group)
I have been involved in a rosary group at university.
I visited nursing homes with the Legion of Mary.
I visited families with the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
Made the beds and served the breakfast to homeless men in Dublin.
I have been to Knock Shrine several times and will go there this month.

  • Whilst I commend Matthew and Mater Dominici, I shall not allow unfounded allegations to be made against me.

When I was going down for my operation several years ago, I was informed that a baby was being operated on before me. I certainly offered up my operation.

As one person said we discern. I am disgusted this PereJoseph would suggest I am hostile to Our Lady.

I would appreciate a formal apology.

  • Have the forum owners allowed Pharisees and self-righteous to take over the forum?

This PereJoseph should divert his questions elsewhere. I expect a formal apology.

  • Your list is plenty impressive to me. Sometimes Pere Joseph gets up a little cranky.

  • IIRC no accusations or allegations were made against you,  John. Questions were asked. Maybe I'm wrong. The posts in question should be provided.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • I think John Grace made a joke mocking Protestants - saying something to the effect of "You only need Jesus". PereJoseph found the joke blasphemous, but I don't remember what his exact response was.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • I had started the Hoffman thread, I requested it's deletion in a PM to Matthew.

I posted a Hoffman piece which I had only skimmed over before posting here. It contained offensive material which I did not initially notice. I had received the Hoffman post in an email from a Catholic friend and I made an incorrect assumption that it didn't have any anti-Catholic content.
"The most evident mark of God's anger, and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world, is manifest when He permits His people to fall into the hands of a clergy who are more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of raveni
