  • There are Apple fans, and then there are real Apple fans.

Count 17 year-old Chinese student “Zheng” as a member of the latter camp. Zheng is the new owner of a brand new iPad 2, which the Anhui Province resident received through the unlikeliest of means: By trading one of his own kidneys.

Both The Global Times and Shanghi Daily report the story, which begins when Zeng is contacted online by a bona fide organ broker. Zheng, clearly enticed by the notion of finally owning an iPad 2,  underwent the surgery on April 28th, exchanging the extracted organ for 22,000 yuan ($3393).

Suffice it to say that Zheng’s mom wasn’t happy with the trade, and made honest maternal efforts to get the police to help retrieve her son’s irreplacable body part. No dice, of course, because the kind broker who arranged the trade was sadly also the kind of organ broker who keeps his phone in a perpetually off state.

Now, Zheng, stricken with sickness after the surgery, regrets his decision, especially after finding out that the hospital where he stayed wasn’t actually qualified to remove his kidney in the first place.

Now the question is, are there any apps for searching for kidney donors?

  • Now, I wonder who would broker in organ trading?

From what I understand you only need one kidney. The problem will arise for him when they come out with iPad3.

  • This is the problem with the technology movement. None of it is necessary nor pleasing to God. All you need is the internet and maybe a cell phone for emergencies (just be sure you get a cell phone that has speaker phone so you don't have to hold it to your head). The technology itself isn't an evil, it's the way it is used. I gaurantee you that God wouldn't want anyone to sell their kidney for an iPad. You don't need an iPad, or a Blackberry, or a droid, or anything else that is a waste of money. I don't have a cell phone and would only get one for emergency purposes. But when/if I get one, I sure wouldn't give a flip which one had all the hi-tech features. Just give me one with speaker phone and one that works good and I'll be happy.

The SSPX has some good articles about the technology movement on their web-site. They say that these things are a distraction that keep a person's mind off God. That's exactly what the devil wants, to get you so caught up with texting or whatever that you don't think about praying.

And really, I don't like Apple anyway. They are supporters of the NWO and also are for gays.
