  • Just when you think there's some decent buisness orgs out there who will stand strong on their moral and religious convictions they turn around and capitulate to the philo-sodomite PC crowd and media.

Chik-fil-A, who was doing a tremendous buisness despite the fact that they were being attacked by the leftists in the media/govt complex and boycotted by the queers and their minions nationwide, now they promise to stop financially contributing to Pro-Family orgs (See "anti-gαy) in order to appease the viscious, militant ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs and their hate for Free speech.

    This is very depressing.

Chick-fil-A promises to stop giving money to anti-gαy groups

    By Tiffany Hsu

    September 19, 2012, 11:09 a.m.
Chick-fil-A has pledged to stop giving money to anti-gαy groups and to back off political and social debates after an executive’s comments this summer landed the fast-food chain smack in the middle of the gαy marriage debate.

The Civil Rights Agenda, which dubs itself the largest lesbian, gαy, bisɛҳuąƖ and transgender advocacy group in Illinois, said Chick-fil-A agreed in meetings to stop donating to groups such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage. Such groups oppose same-sex marriage.

A report from LGBT advocacy group Equality Matters found that between 2003 and 2009, Chick-fil-A donated more than $3 million to Christian groups that oppose ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity. In 2010, the fast food company gave nearly $2 million to such causes, according to the report.

The LGBT collective said the Atlanta-based restaurant chain also sent a letter, signed by its senior director of real estate, to Chicago Alderman Joe Moreno.

Chick-fil-A said in the missive that its nonprofit arm, the WinShape Foundation, “is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas,” according to TCRA.

Moreno helped fan this summer’s controversy, after Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy said his company was “guilty as charged” of supporting the biblical definition of the family unit. Moreno, who runs Chicago’s trendy Northwest Side ward, said he would block the chain from opening shop in his area.

Now, according to the Chicago Tribune, Moreno has softened his stance and will allow Chick-fil-A in.

The restaurant firm may have helped mend the relationship by also promising to amend an official company docuмent to reflect that its “intent is not to engage in political or social debates,” according to TCRA.

The docuмent, called “Chick-fil-A: Who We Are,” will also state that the chain will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sɛҳuąƖ orientation and gender.” The company took a similar stance this summer, as politicians, celebrities and customers around the country began taking sides.

Outside of that statement, Chick-fil-A spokesman Jerry Johnston said the company is “not offering any response” to the news from TCRA.

“Chick-fil-A has taken a big step forward," said Anthony Martinez, TCRA’s executive director, in a statement. “We are encouraged by their willingness to serve all people and ensure their profits are not used to fight against a minority community that is still trying to gain full and equal civil rights.”

Now, the group wants Chick-fil-A to put in a corporate anti-discrimination policy to address complaints about a “culture of discrimination within the company,” it said

  • Those people who lined up to buy sandwiches must feel conned.

What do you want to bet they won't boycott Chick-Fil-A

They should.  What the "right-wing" doesn't understand is that allowing betrayal to go unpunished breeds betrayal.

  • The wicked world wants someone with 'Christian' [allegedly] convictions to stop upholding those convictions.

An organization that is "Christian" )in the sense that some of their owners ascribe to some or another Prot heresy) decides to back down from acting on their convictions.

So, in other words, a non-Catholic asks a non-Catholic to compromise and be nicer to the sodomites, and anyone here is surprised, shocked or upset?

Yawn. Par for the course among those who reject Christ and His Church.
This evil of heresy spreads itself. The doctrines of godliness are overturned; the rules of the Church are in confusion; the ambition of the unprincipled seizes upon places of authority; and the chief seat [the Papacy] is now openly proposed as a rewar

  • Why in the world would they turn their backs on the very people who supported them and made them an incredible success story just to placate a bunch of sɛҳuąƖ deviants who don't believe anyone has a right to an opinion on traditional. Christian marriage?

    I tell you why, money.

Most of the "christians" in this country in business, especially the Protestant type, worship money not Christ or the "Word of God" that so many of these Evangelical type are out there constantly beating people over the head with their bibles and scripture quotes. But when it comes big money or big Jєω or big queer, these phonies become the most servile slaves to their corporate masters and financiers.

The  most ridiculous part of all this, is that people were patronizing their restaurants in droves , business was booming recently because they were standing strong in their faith and belief in traditional marriage and normalcy, in other words, what God intended for the family unit.

Can't have that now, can we.

This seems to happen all the time when it comes to "christians" and standing up against the queers and for the very same God they swear by, they're full of it.

As far as I'm concerned, most Christians are cowards these days.

Let's not fool ourselves here, most "catholics" are selling out on the queer issue as well. We all know the N.O. church is infected with them, the Vatican treads softly when it comes to stating what is so very obvious in doctrine and dogma when it comes to ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity. They are just as paranoid and intimidated as the Prots.

I wish it was only Protestants.  The Jєωιѕн power (which is really is behind this organized culture-destroying insanity) showed its power in the aftermath of the "lifting of the excommunications."

It really seems sometimes that no sizable organization is immune.

But the worst part about it is what you mentioned: the way people slavishly go along with it - and get angry at those who resist.  That is cowardice.

I don't think so, the overwhelmingly majority of people were defending them. Besides, if this was the case, they would have gone public with it.

No, this is all about not wanting an all out attack by the queer-left and their minions in the media/govt/corporate complex, this was about the possibility of the homo-driven agenda stepping it up and attacking them financially in some way, so they bowed down in order to go along and play it safe.

You see, when it comes to big queer, Christians are powerless these days, look at all this "marriage equality" garbage these days.Even though almost all Christians were against it, it gets pushed on them anyway by a few queers and the politicians that appease them. And Christians just stand their and take it because they know their faith doesn't mean nothing really in the end.

Either that or Christ is no match for Sodomy.

  • Comments on this thread are interesting.

In my own experience, about 3 weeks ago, I went to a Chick-fil-A and ordered
a combo. You take a number and get a seat at the table and a counter person
brings you your food on a tray. When they come, they ask if you need anything
else, and I usually have something to ask them, about company policy or the
like. They have always been eager to answer any questions. So I mentioned to
this guy about the recent "event" nationwide, and he said they were pretty busy
    here as well.

Then I mentioned that I had read that the only store that got into the news was
the one where a crowd of several vociferous fαɢs protested outside the store,
with signs and their foul, loud slogans. I asked him if he knew why the other
stores, some in the East and Midwest, that were so crowded that traffic on the
streets nearby was jammed with the backlog of customers -- none of that was
reported on, unless you read the Internet comments from customers. His reply
made me think that something's up. He said that he goes to work and does his
job, and he tries to stay out of politics. When he goes home to his "wife" (he
looked me in the eye and paused with that word, and smiled slightly) he tries
not to get caught up in hot social issues because it tends to disrupt the peace
in the family, so he prefers that everyone get along. He likes to think that all
creeds and orientations are welcome at Chick-fil-A.

There is no way that he would come up with a "party line" like that if he had not
been coached by the management. They have company employee meetings
regularly and training is ongoing, so to speak. I just knew that something was
in the works. Then came this news you refer to. A change like this does not
happen overnight. It must have been planned nationwide..............

See this is how the queers operate, now it's not enough for CFA to stop funding Christian, Pro Family groups, now they will start the witch hunt within the company for anyone not just being all giddy about fag- marriage and their "rights". Now the real inquisition begins, they will start the real persecution against any real Christians there and clean house and fill it with a pro-Sodomite faction. Any new employees will be threatened right away about not even looking at a queer the wrong way the minute they come on board.

And the queers won't stop with this, it will never be enough to appease them.

This is why God had to utterly destroy two cities in the O.T. infected with them as an example of how far down this deviation will drag a culture.

As for Chik-fil-A, I believe their days are numbered now.

    Way to sell out creeps.

  • Yet again this sick society shows it has no manly strength to deal with sick, unnatural sodomites. If we had a nation full of real men, instead of weak, effeminate boys who are pushovers the sodomites would be in fear of even coming out publically about their sick lifestyle.

Yes, and on a broader scale, they will not rest until it becomes illegal for
anyone to be other than queer. It will be fine with them if anyone who
openly promotes a "one man, one woman definition of marriage," or any kind
of opposition to the Sin of Sodom, whether public or private, would be guilty of
a "crime," and the penalty would be death. That would not be unacceptable to
them. That is where this leads, on a broader scale.

Look at where the "anti-Semitism" laws have gone in Germany. Historical facts
have nothing to do with the issue. You can be guilty of a "crime" if you say
something in public that makes someone "feel bad" in regards to the "h0Ɩ0cαųst."
What about the REAL h0Ɩ0cαųst of abortion?? Babies are being sacrificed to
the false god of Moloch, under the cover of warlock-abortionists, and it's just
fine, because no victims are able to speak up and ask for representation. Once
again, the facts of history have no bearing on the case: all that matters is how
    somebody "feels" about it.

Liberalism is not founded on principles. It is based on tyrannical whims: "The rules
apply if I say they apply, and they don't if I say they don't, because I am a
Liberal, and what I say goes, effectively." (But they're not honest enough to
    explain it like that.)

This is from a few days ago.

This is what happens when you depend on the  "unbiased" media to get a story straight, still, there's nothing official saying they won't stop contributing to pro-family/marriage orgs that are "political" in anyway. The thing is, to the queers and their advocates, anyone not on board with sodomite marriage, is indeed "political" to them so CFA will be very tentative now to whom they contribute to.

This is the problem. We live in such a paranoid, queer-intimidated culture now, that even so called "christian" companies or even churches really have to watch what they say instead of just stating what they believe the Wrod of God says and tell the homos and their minions to go scratch. End of story.

And I still say that today's "christians", especially in the West have been basically silenced and intimidated by the Jude-Marxist ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ Left. Just look at things like the passing of all these "same-sex marriage" laws and "gαys" in the military, where is all the outrage from the big time conservatives on these issues? They seem totally emasculated by big queer and his enablers.

Earlier generations of real men in this country must be spinning in their graves.

  • WND article here;

    WND EXCLUSIVE
    Press suckered by Chick-fil-A fairytale

Mainstream media organizations have headlined over the last two days Chick-fil-A’s “change” they claim means the company suddenly is promising not to discriminate against ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs – and that it would stop giving money to those organizations that promote traditional marriage.

Chick-fil-A says it will stop funding antigαy groups” proclaimed the Detroit Free Press.

But it appears the facts are that the company’s anti-discrimination policy remains just as it was months ago – before the controversy over owner Dan Cathy’s Christian beliefs erupted – and its donations appear to have had no new directive applied.

Even Joe Moreno, a Chicago alderman securely in the pro-ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ camp, confirmed to WND that the company’s giving should not even have been an issue.

Responding to a question about his review of Chick-fil-A form 990 for 2011, he confirmed that there were no donations “of concern.”

He was asked, “Does the alderman reviewing the 990 for 2011 and finding no donations of concern mean that Chick-fil-A was already meeting a demand before it was even a demand since at least 2010.”

“I believe that is the case,” a statement from Moreno’s office confirmed to WND.

The controversy erupted over the summer, when company CEO Dan Cathy told Baptist Press he was “guilty as charged” for supporting the “biblical definition of the family unit.”

ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ lobbyists and activists pounced, promoting a boycott and obtaining statements from city officials such as Chicago’s Moreno that they would crack down on the company over the CEO’s beliefs.

Marriage supporters responded to a campaign by former presidential candidate Gov. Mike Huckabee for a “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” by lining up by the thousands at stories. Additionally, more than 6.3 million people have “liked” Chick-fil-A on Facebook.

Now the headlines have developed that the company “Ceases Anti-gαy Donations.”

Moreno jumped before the cameras to say he has “finalized” negotiations with Chick-fil-A with a promise that the company no longer will give money to anti-”gαy” organizations.

He said in an interview with Current.com that a statement had been obtained that the company no longer would donate to pro-marriage organizations, and “I also recently reviewed their 990 statement, which is a statement that shows all of their givings, they must submit publicly in the spring, and as of this date they haven’t given a dollar to those groups.”

But the most recent 990 form would cover 2011, meaning there was no “objectionable” giving, according to Moreno, as long back as 21 months – predating any of the flap over Cathy’s statements.

The company also had posted when the controversy erupted a statement on its website announcing it would not discriminate on the basis of gender orientation. The months-old statement, which at that time was represented as stating an existing policy, said, “The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sɛҳuąƖ orientation or gender.”

Moreno, however, told Cenk Uygur on “The Young Turks” just this week that, “This is the first time in the company’s history that they’ve done this [stated a non-discrimination policy]. I think it’s because of your actions, the community’s actions and partly because of my actions in not supporting the restaurant… That they’ve changed their tune, it’s a big step for the community.”

It was a statement from The Civil Rights Agenda that prompted the recent headlines. It stated that Moreno “finalized” negotiations with the company with a promise to no longer give money to “anti-gαy” organizations.

The statement said of the Cathy family’s foundation, the WinShape Foundation, “is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas.”

But it was in July when the company stated, “Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.”

The Civil Rights Agenda didn’t name groups, but others did. One was the National Organization for Marriage, which responded immediately, “Despite recent news articles claiming Chick-fil-A’s WinShape Foundation donated money to our organization – this is false. The National Organization for Marriage has never received funding from them. We support Chick-fil-A’s philosophy that every person is treated with ‘honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sɛҳuąƖ orientation or gender;’ and we will continue to endorse ‘Chick-fil-A Wednesdays’ calling upon all supporters of marriage, free speech and religious liberty to thank Chick-fil-A’s president, Dan Cathy, for taking a courageous stand to speak out in defense of marriage and his freedom to speak.”

The Family Research Council also was mentioned, and told WND that it has gotten nothing since a $1,000 donation in 2010.

Focus on the Family was also mentioned, but declined WND’s request for comment.

Even Anthony Martinez, TCRA executive director, said in an interview with Windy City Media Group that the language Chick-Fil-A uses in its non-discrimination policy hasn’t changed.

The site reported Martinez said, “With regard to policy, there really isn’t that much of a change.”

Moreno disagreed. He issued a statement Wednesday that “the company today as put into writing, for the first time, that its employees are to ‘treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sɛҳuąƖ orientation and gender…”

But he admitted that the issue of corporate donations was a nonstarter from the beginning.
“I corroborated what they told me back in January; that donations to anti-gαy groups … have ceased.”

After months of declining to respond to developments, Chick-fil-A confirmed the situation with a statement issued late Thursday.

“For many months now, Chick-fil-A’s corporate giving has been mischaracterized. And while our sincere intent has been to remain out of this political and social debate, events from Chicago this week have once again resulted in questions around our giving,” the company said.

A part of our corporate commitment is to be responsible stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. Because of this commitment, Chick-fil-A’s giving heritage is focused on programs that educate youth, strengthen families and enrich marriages, and support communities. We will continue to focus our giving in those areas. Our intent is not to support political or social agendas.

“There are many diverse viewpoints and opinions among those associated with Chick-fil-A, including our independent Owner/Operators and their team members, Chick-fil-A corporate staff, suppliers and business partners. Chick-fil-A and the Cathy family, who own the company, value and respect all of these differences. If someone in Chick-fil-A offers a personal viewpoint, they do not presume to speak for everyone.”

The statement reaffirmed the company’s “corporate purpose” is to “glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A.”

“Over the past three years alone, in cities and towns across American, Chick-fil-A has given more than $68 million in contributions to over 700 different educational and charitable organizations and has provided millions of dollars in food donations.”
