..for no apparent reason, and with not so much as a warning or message why this was done.

I wasn't involved in any particularly controversial threads or anything. I really don't know what could have made one of the moderators mad.

Real Catholic, real charitable, real honorable.

I guess the Truth is always treated this way -- and I am resigned to that fact. It's right there in Scripture -- "If they have persecuted Me..."

I think you're right.

They could hardly "appreciate" something like that.

I guess I was just a bit shocked as to HOW they did it. I mean, Vox didn't PM me with a "watch your step" or anything.

But I SHOULD have saw it coming, I suppose.

I don't personally see a big problem with copying topics, although I would be more inclined to omit the original poster's name. We copy from other web blogs and forums over to here all the time when it comes to the housing bubble, ect. But, even if this was the problem, simply asking Matthew to cease would have been sufficient.

Not that I agree that I was being arrogant OR disruptive. Is telling the truth in a charitable, non-personal way disruptive? Is saying "objective truth exists" arrogant?

I had noticed a fair amount of dissing of Fisheaters on this forum.

I rather like Fisheaters, myself. But then, it's becoming apparent that, in the context of traditionalism, I'm a modernist liberal!

But in the context of Novus Ordoville, I'm a hardline rigorist! The grief I get on Novus Ordo forums!

Well, I might have had many disagreements on there, but isn't that what controversy is about?

There were/are many people on there who CAN hold a rational discussion, and not be illogical/overly emotional, etc.

Hence the reason I never quit or deleted myself.

But in my book, deleting people without warning is for TRUE disrupters of the peace, such as trolls, spammers, someone coming on there and posting cuss words and filthy stories, etc.

Not someone who merely holds a different point of view.

I'll never delete anyone on here just for their ideas. They'd have to be a spammer, troll, blasphemer, etc. Basically, someone that NO ONE would miss.

We don't really have to wonder in this case. Vox said it was due to complaints about his "attitude and tone". So, it had nothing to do with what is or isn't discussed on this site.

MikeSearson had a filthy mouth...er typing... you know what I mean, he wrote in a very offensive manner. Cuss words, and name calling.

Well, Mike S. is in the Spiritual Combat, and that's all any of us can do. I know we are in different vocations, as it were, but we also have some things in common. Mike and I were getting along much better, having come to understand each other a bit better.

I haven't see him cuss or anything close to it, not in the many months I've been paying attention.

People can change, and we're supposed to let them change. Otherwise we'd all be in trouble -- imagine if any of us was stuck at our lowest spiritual point? *shudder*

That's why we're supposed to keep praying for one another, never giving up, etc.

As for arrogant and disruptive in tone or attitude, maybe that's the way many posters felt about you, Matthew; I defended you over there at FE, though I conceded the probable arrogance in your posts, that other posters may have seen. All should be forgiven, even if it was false, I didn't see anything that would get you banned from FE.

And neither did I see what they were talking about. Sober and charitable is the tone I strive for in my posts.

Not bending over backwards to keep everyone happy every other sentence MIGHT be taken as arrogant, triumphalist, or what have you -- but the truth often comes across as harsh to some.
