  • They need to do a bit of remedial science. Water freezes at what temperature?

Apparently not all weather forecasts are created equal. When I need to know what the weather's going to do, I use weather.com or wunderground.com

Going to CBS for your weather is like doing your main grocery shopping at the local convenience store. Sure, you technically can, but A) they don't have many things B) they're super over-priced and C) many things are close to expiring.

  • The profession of meteorology is one of the most worthless, noncontributing, overpaid professions where you're allowed to be in error well over half of the time. I don't even know of any minimum wage jobs where you can constantly make errors and still keep your job. But these overpaid Yo-Yos get on TV and think they're some kind of "hero" doing a "play-by-play" of incoming turbulent weather, when Doppler Radar is actually doing all of the analysis. "Weather Heroes" is what I call them... or "Overpaid Pretenders".
Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war. ~ Psalms 143:1 (Douay-Rheims)

I think you got it right.

  • As has been pointed out, it can and does snow when the temperature at ground level is above 32 degrees.

  • You don't even need a weatherman. All you need is a thermometer and a barometer.

High pressure means good weather. Low pressure means bad weather. Low pressure usually means there is a good possibility it will either rain or snow.

    Thanks, Jєω.

    What?!

Seriously, what is the deal with calling me a "Jєω". Why are you calling me a non-Catholic? That is expressly against the rules of this forum.

Maybe he was making a point.

Is it really against the rules? What about calling other posters "heretics"?

You need not agree with everyone (or even most people) here, and you are free to disagree with the moderator. However, you have to consider CathInfo members your "fellow Catholics" -- you may strongly disagree with some of them, but you have to have enough humility to "live and let live" and "agree to disagree".
