Believe me, any sort of American patriotism knowing the facts is hard for me to swallow.

I believe that people have a duty to be patriotic (not nationalistic, but patriotic).  Despite the fact that I don't like how this country was founded or the principles that it was founded on or who it was founded by, I was born here and I have a duty to love my country and to pray for my country.

That doesn't mean that I am a fan of her current government, her politicians or her populace.  I would like to live on "Catholic Island," but I'm not - I'm living in the U.S. of A.  - if you don't believe in loving this country, despite its many flaws, then you should move somewhere else (where I don't know given that our country is one of the last places where one can practice our religion with limited intereference - and even that is going).

  • You're right that the relative freedom we have -- only because of our immense size -- has allowed a few pockets of sedevacantism to grow.  Still, this doesn't exactly make me want to burst into patriotic song.

You say you don't like the leaders we have now.  To which I respond, now?!  What's the difference?  Surely you know that all Presidents were either freemasons like Washington, or atheists like Lincoln.   These men were mere stepping stones to Obama.  In fact, they are more insidious, because at least his communism is overt and easy to be called out for what it is.

I just find it very hard to be patriotic knowing that young men were drafted and sent off to die and possibly be damned in the Jєωιѕн world wars.  It's incredibly disturbing to me that even in the sedevacantist groups you have people who are in the Army, Air Force or whatever, because under no circuмstances could the Iraq War be called a "just war" by the Catholic standard.   The "democracy" of America is a soft communism.  We have always been on the communist side of things, helping the Jєωs in World War II instead of the Catholic Polish, for instance.

The Catholic Church cannot be revitalized with half-truths.  It must be with whole truths.  America is not something to be proud of except despite itself.  That is a way to get hooked into further false beliefs, such as those who thought they were dying for God in World War II.

By the way, I don't support the nαzι side, I am Polish and we have been smashed and shattered by the nαzιs as well as Communists.  I just wish people would pay more attention to the spiderweb the devil is spinning and how he tries to control every side, so they can free themselves from illusion.  Catholic Island is the way to go.

Speaking of Poland -- I like Father Trytek's movement.  Maybe I will leave the country after all.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • Like your thinking. I do not know of Fr. Trytek. I just am amazed when I see how many people fall to the heresy of Americanism. Yes, I love my country. That is why I am said that it was taken over my the Masonoic/atheistic/Protestant/any other anti-Christ. But, I also remember much blood has been shed by martyrs here and it is the Land of the Empress of America (The Blessed Virgin not the Statue of Liberty for the sake of lurkers).
