PRESS RELEASE FROM USA DISTRICT
PLATTE CITY, MO (8-30-2011) A recent news report implied that the Priestly Society of St. Pius X promotes the scientific theory of geocentrism as a Catholic teaching based upon the Bible. The SSPX holds no such position.

There it is. TradCatholic "Lite".

Don't want to go lookin' too crazy, now...

This is the first I have heard this. I know that at least some SSPX priests believe in geocentrism like Father Joseph Pfeiffer does. Does the SSPX also have an official position affirming evolution?

Hats off to Fr. Gerard Rusak, SSPX!  While serving as the pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Winnipeg, Canada he was courageous enough to invite Robert Sungenis to come and speak to the parish on geocentrism.  In addition to that he organized a lecture and a debate (sort of a second lecture) on the subject at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.  The challenge to the debate was accepted.  Sungenis faced a somewhat -- some would say virulently -- hostile audience, but nevertheless easily won by a vote of that very same audience!  Below the asterisks is a verbatim announcement of the geocentrism event as seen in the General Announcements Section of one of the Bulletins of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Winnipeg.

Is the Earth the Centre of the Universe? Lectures, March 29 and 30, 2011, 7PM, Theatre
240, University College, U of M. Mr. Robert Sungenis, the world famous author of the book
“Galileo Was Wrong, The Church Was Right” and several other books will give two lectures on
this subject. The First Lecture will explain why Geocentrism is important for Catholics. The
second conference may take the form of a debate on the scientific aspects of this case. We are
offering $200 to anyone who wishes to represent the Heliocentric position at the debate. If no
one accepts to challenge his position, Mr. Sungenis will lecture on the scientific case for an Earth
centred universe.

Geocentrism is finished. The flat earth is taking over because people can see that this is the truth. Geocentrism is simply a halfway house, couched with scientifically sounding language.
