  • I have heard it claimed that Catholic Answers is not a Catholic forum and that Cathinfo is a good Catholic forum. (In fact it was a running joke that it was a badge of honor to be banned from Catholic Answers as well as from Fisheaters and Suscipe Domine). Well my cousin Mark who I love once asked me if there were any forums I was a member of and I told him about Cathinfo. He told me to write the web page down for him. I thought I wrote down www.Cathinfo.com as I thought at the time as I do now that Cathinfo was the best Catholic forum on the internet. Later on he told me that he had looked at the forum, but he told me he had gone to Catholic Answers instead of Cathinfo which I thought was the website I gave to him. Did I unknowingly write down Catholic Answers? Or did he unknowingly read Catholic Answers? On which end was the mistake. It is a mystery to me.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • That's like trying to attend a rally for the Great Monarch (I'd say Trump, but Trump has many serious issues; CathInfo does not) but mistakenly ending up at a Joe Biden rally instead.

    Not even close :)

  • Well after years of posting on CAF, walking on eggshells all the time there to avoid infractions and suspensions, and lately having threads I posted on immediately close after I posted, I decided that CAF had been trying for years to tell me they don't like my kind and I should look for a friendler forum.

So sometime last month I signed up on Fisheaters. My husband and I eat fish on Fridays. It was a big step for me to admit I am a Trad and should look for a Trad forum. (I don't like labels. I just want to be Catholic.) I realized I had more in common with Trads than those who don't call themselves that. So I joined, and immediately got caught up in a thread with a crazy arguer, a bulldog who was clearly not trad at all, who'd have liked to do this   :heretic: to Father Treco.  Then another was MagisterMusicae who is truly the stereotype of rigid condemning Trad, and the type who just wants to win an argument. He wore me out.  :fryingpan:  I truly felt the hate.

Then suddenly with no warning or explanation I got banned. I wasn't there a month!  Vox did not answer my simple why queries.  I figured it was MagisterMusciae because I truly felt the hate there.:really-mad2:

Then I figured that that was such an odd experience in such a short time that I could not be the only one. I began to search about Fisheaters online and I got the best understanding here on Cathinfo.  Yup, I was not the only one with a weird experience. And it was here I figure out why I got banned. It was not what I thought. It was Impygate. (I learned about that here) I had unknowingly treaded on sensitive (sacred?) ground when I began a thread about something I had been thinking about: What if some (or many) priests and bishops, and up, are transgenders? I think it was my starting that thread that got me banned.  Because there was another odd thing about that. When no one addressed my real concern (actually LionHippo did) I tried to clarify what I was getting at by writing a carefully written post explaining why this is a likely possibility. I made the case clearly and concisely, with a lot of thought and editing. And it disappeared! Next morning I went to check it, and it was gone! I wondered if I was mistaken, but I really felt not. So I was going to try to recompose it, but I think that is why I got banned.

So what I really, really want to know is, what is wrong with SuscipeDomine?? Someone please tell me. Because I signed up there the day I signed up here, and they haven't let me in yet. Not sure if there is any reason for that. What do folks know about that forum, and why would one lump it in with Fisheaters and CAF?
And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

  • There are some virtuous people on both forums and genuine Catholics, but they are the exception and not the rule.

Please repeat that... Did you actually say that Trump is like the Great Monarch?

Oh...  the utter thought of it!

Trump is a destroyer not a builder.

And as the rabbis below imagine, there will be a lot of world destruction necessary in order for a modern King David Trump to make way the path for rebuilding the 3rd Temple.

Rabbi links Pres. Trump to King David, says he is preparing the way for Messiah

    By Mark Ellis – Source
A prominent rabbi in Jerusalem has found a mysterious connection between President Trump and King David that may herald unfolding biblical prophecy. He says the signs first became evident during President Trump’s election campaign and improbable victory.
“King David also had to overcome great opposition in order to establish his kingship,” Rabbi Yosef Berger told Breaking Israel News (BIN). “Trump connected to that. This cycle was completed when the president recognized Jerusalem as the true capital of the Jєωιѕн People, just as King David did.”

Rabbi Berger is the rabbi overseeing King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, and the son of a respected Hasidic leader.
In September 2016 – during the fury and heat of the presidential campaign – Republicans organized an event in the Old City of Jerusalem on behalf of Trump.

“It was logistically far more difficult to arrange an event in the Old City, but we wanted to connect with the heart of Jerusalem,” Mark Zell, chairman of Republicans Overseas Israel, told BIN.
The organizers chose an unlikely catering hall overlooking the Temple Mount for their event. What they didn’t know when they planned the event was that the site chosen was situated directly over the actual burial place of King David — a holy site in a cluster of caves where several other kings and prophets have been buried.

During the event, pre-recorded speeches by Trump and his running mate, Mike Pence were viewed on a large screen. At that point in the campaign, no one thought Trump had any chance of winning the presidency.
Rabbi Berger believes this event established the future president’s link with King David, helped him win the election, but also set him on an even more auspicious path.

“Donald Trump in Gematria (Hebrew numerology) equals 424, which is the same as Moshiach ben David (Messiah from the house of David),” Rabbi Berger explained.

“This certainly does not mean he will be the Messiah, but it indicates that he will play a role in preparing the way for the arrival of the Messiah. He clearly has this inclination. Why else would he have a campaign event overlooking the Temple Mount? No other presidential candidate has done this.”

Rabbi Berger is also intrigued by the fact that the presidential seal of the United States contains the Bald Eagle. He says the eagle plays into end-times prophecy.

“The eagle represents the House of David. The eagle was not permitted near the covenant with Abraham at the time, but in the end of days, the Messiah from the House of David will stand up before all the other nations and bring them to David’s city in order to complete the covenant with Abraham.”

“Trump, under the sign of the ayit (eagle), opened the way for the other nations, who are now coming to Jerusalem and opening their embassies in preparation for the Messiah,” Rabbi Berger said.
While the Jєωιѕн people await the first appearing of Messiah, Christians eagerly await the Second Coming of Messiah Jesus.
Rabbi Berger also thinks that President Trump – the master builder – will play a role in the construction of Israel’s Third Temple.
Some rabbinical sources say the Third Temple will be built by the “descendants of Edom,” a phrase that in later rabbinical literature refers to the Christian world, Berger explained to BIN.

The Hebrew word Edom means “red”, and is derived from the name of its founder, Esau, the elder son of the Hebrew patriarch Isaac, because he was born “red all over”. As a young adult, he sold his birthright to his brother Jacob.

President Trump was derided in the campaign because of the shade of his hair – which had an orange-reddish hue.
Rabbi Berger explained: “No leader in history has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the Jєωs and Israel…Trump is the representative of Edom that will perform that final historic reparation for his entire nation by building the Temple.”

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Your reference to the rabbis and King David reminds me of these data points:

If they really believe it is the tomb of King David, why are they urinating on the site almost every day?
