Seems everyone is always complaining about their "hosting costs" of hundreds of dollars a month.
http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/apologia/vpost?id=3286039This site doesn't cost me anything per month. I am using free software that I installed myself, and I am a programmer so I do any modifications myself when that is necessary. So there are no "monthly fees" for me or anyone else to pay. I'm only paying $9 a year for the domain name "Cathinfo.com".
But even so, any forum with under 5,000 registered users should be able to fit easily in a typical "$9.95 a month" webhosting account. I say this as a web programmer who does this for a living. Long story short: Vox is getting ripped off by going with a "service" like Websitetoolbox.
No overhead, no payroll, etc. You can count on Cathinfo always being here, and your posts not getting deleted or lost forever.
Oh, and you can spend your money on whatever you want -- we won't be bugging you.
