  • There was a  "What other Trad Catholic Fora do you like" thread on Angelqueen a few weeks ago, where someone posted a link to CathInfo.

Well, now there's a thread like that on Fisheaters. (I only know about it because a couple dozen people clicked on the link and so it's in my traffic stats.)

It's always interesting to see what people "on the outside" think of CathInfo.

There are a few trad fora, each one with its own identity and character.

    ...

The Cathinfo forum is pretty active.  It is like Trad Twilight Zone, with reactionary cranks and screwballs galore.  Can be a very fun forum-- it can also drive you bonkers.  A lot of people who get banned from Fisheaters take refuge there.  http://www.cathinfo.com/

  • I will take a quasi-sabbatical so as to not overwhelm them too quickly with my intensity or "snarkiness."

  • One person mentioned "101 threads of sour grapes" posted by bitter Fisheaters expatriates.

I think that person is sadly mistaken -- it's actually amazing how wrong someone can be. How hard is it to type in "www.cathinfo.com" into your browser and check it out for yourself?!

    Can you say LAZY?

We're not talking about physically getting up out of your chair, after all! (heaven forbid!) We're talking about visiting a VIRTUAL PLACE, ON THE INTERNET, and checking it out for yourself.

    Here are the facts:
Over the past 2 years we've had maybe 4 or 5 topics about Fisheaters -- out of 9,149 total topics.  A pretty small percentage!

Or as I like to call some of us, the past, present, and future of Traditional Catholicism. We're the backbone and the brain, without us the "Trad movement" would be squashed by modernity.  I'm sure he/she/it meant the same thing, they just confused a few words.
    Pray for me, always.

  • I like fish eaters. I think they have a lot in common with Catholics. Just think about what you typically eat on Friday... :dancing:

  • I stand by my post on Fisheaters.  This can be a fun forum.  It can also be... wacky.

  • It's the wackiness that makes it fun.  If everyone agreed with everyone else then it'd be pretty boring.

  • I am slightly disgruntled with FE, but largely over it.....silly me, expect Catholics to have a world vision that rejects modernity, neocons, GOP,etc.......

Alex had better be careful or I'll have him brought up on 'hate' crimes charges because he hurt my feelings.

  • LOL at Alex's comment.

Yeah, Roscoe is like a Whack-a-Mole.  He pops out of his crevasse during a serious discussion and says something like "Raoul76 says Pius X is an anti-Pope!!!"  or "Raoul76 won't answer my question about what he thinks about NFP for glue-sniffing Judaics in Nigeria?"

I'm not trying to gang up on you Roscie but I hope people know by now that what you say cannot be taken at face value.  You are like the court jester of CathInfo.   Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream... :bob-marley:
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.
