A geeky friend suggested that I try CoolNovo which is a kind of upgrade version of Chrome. Its toolbar icon looks like a 3-color maple leaf with a blue circle in the middle. I used it for a couple of weeks, and found that on CI when typing in one of these text boxes, with a hundred words in the post for example, I could add bold, italics, underline, color, size or font codes without having the cursor leap to the end of the post with each* change, like it usually does in Firefox. So it was a lot more convenient in that respect alone.
But there were other differences that it had which were inconvenient, and I quickly got tired of them so I gave up on CoolNovo and went back to Firefox. But I don't remember now what the undesirable differences are, sorry.
*I typed this message, then went back and highlighted "each" and clicked the "I" button for italics, and the italics codes appeared before and after "each" and the cursor leapt to the end of this post, instead of staying at the word "each." This is the way the code buttons work in Firefox. But with CoolNovo, the cursor would remain at the word "each" instead of leaping to the end of the text.
