    • To be fair that was a relatively tiny pooch.

    A kid getting stitches from a dog bite will equal medical bills plus $5000 to 10000 dollars from the homeowners insurance. if the kid had been bit in the face they would have gotten $20000 or more.

    Tough cat.  Tara, the terror of neighborhood canines!

    Bakersfield Tabby: a new breed of fearless feline friend.  

    There is no question whose side this kitty is on.  

    All the cat has is claws on four paws, basically, when attacking like this, so the dog probably got close to all 20 sharp points at speed, which is no small feat.  Tara the cat had to launch past Jeremy Triantafilo without accidentally running into the boy.  So all that had to be going through her little kitty brain at the same time.  Also, notice how Tara didn't drop the chase, but continued to press on by running around the back of the car to keep the dog on the run.  

    The element of surprise plays a big role here.  The dog didn't see this one coming.
