  • If the views of Card Rampolla were 'diametrically opposed' to those of Pius X why does the Pope appoint him as Chmn of Pontifical Biblical Commission, Arch -Priest of St Peters Basilica, & Prefect of Vatican Library-- after the 1903 Conclave fiasco?

If Della Chiesa was sent packing to Bolonga, & he is 'completely identified w/ the policies of Rampolla, why then is Rampolla Not sent packing back to Sicily instead of remaining in Rome?

If Pius X & Card Del Val( who btw was consecrated Bishop by C Rampolla-- they were good friends) learn of Della Chiesa's modernist leanings through his 'critical discussions' w/ Rampolla, you can bet it is from the latter it is made manifest. :cowboy:

He went from being the most powerful person in the vatican to a librarian...I would think that is a Demotion.
