    • From now on, all users wishing to post as "Guest" will need to answer a CAPTCHA question.

    CAPTCHA is basically a "human test" to see if you're a real person, and not a machine/piece of software.

    This should eliminate most of the spam -- I think most spam is posted by automatic software programs, not individuals doing it manually. You can tell because they never react to their links being mangled, they never give up, etc.
