  • i notice a lot of canadian both here and on fisheaters. they are among most active and outgoing members of these forums and i curious why i havent seen trad cath forum run by canadian.

  • Despite the fact that around half of Canada's population is Catholic, it seems as though the vast majority of those Catholics are not really Catholic at all. Certainly in name, yes, but not spirit. The trad Catholic movement in Canada is not as prominent as it is in the US. The FSSP and SSPX are almost non-existent compared to the diocesan presence here.

    It's not surprising to me there are no Canadian run trad forums.

  • I don't know about the FSSP but the SSPX has a pretty good holding in Canada. They have less parishioners but the overall population is also much less than the US. I would guess that per capita, Canada's SSPX would be comparable to the US.

  • BTW those cookies are yummy! I had some a couple of years ago. I can only handle one or two at a time though, they are quite rich.

    i wonder if other reason no trad cath forum are run by canadians is because certain things the church teach may fall under "hate crime" laws up there.
