    When a man kills a raccoon that has killed his chickens, has broken into his home, and has caused considerable damage, isn't the raccoon's murder justified?

    Unfortunately, not according to Florida laws.

    Knowing Animal Control procedures and policies, that raccoon, if turned over to the authorities, would be released not too far from the man's chicken farm, and would have come back to feast on more chickens. It would be just a matter of time. And if said raccoon were to be a female, her liter would be duly trained to do the same things as she would do: killing more chickens, entering more homes, and causing more destruction.




    We have too many stupid laws protecting animal pests.

    Yet no laws exist to protect unborn humans.

    Lord have mercy.

    Indeed, Lord have mercy, and I hope the man gets off this "charge". Absolutely ridiculous! He's just doing what any sane person would do. It's good to see that most responders to the article are in sympathy with this man.
    However, be careful of falling into the trap by referring the killing an animal "murder" Murder is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Never wise to humanise animals in this way. Killing is justified but murder it is NOT.

    The insidious secular humanists and vegan society today both promote the "humane" way to raise animals (cage free, free ranging) and the "humane" way of slaughtering animals (no form of slaughter really exists in their books).

    Yet, these same pro-animal right proponents do not wince when babies are aborted.

    On the contrary, these pro-abortionists scream and complain violently whenever the State tries to impose the death penalty on murderous criminals, such as the satanist Charles Manson, who recently died of natural causes at the old age of 83.

    • Well I do object to the manner of the dispatch, why add to the pollution levels of the water?  A 9 mm to the head would have been faster and the beast could have become fertilizer.  Trap it, quick trip into the woods, return with empty trap.

    killing an animal is not murder
    killing an unborn child is, but there is only reward, not punishment (in this life ) for them

    I agree with all you say here, Maria Regina, but my  point was to warn of the dangers of giving legitimacy to the language of such hypocrites by using words inappropriately - calling the killing or drowning of an animal pest murder, or calling ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ gαy, or when baby killers call abortion "termination".
    As you have commented, these people use the word humane which is a form of the word human.
