The real issue here is not whether or not veritas is gαy and is or is not following the Church's teachings on the proper use of the sɛҳuąƖ faculty.

The real issue here is one of calumny and gossip. Even if what veritas says about the Bishop is true, he has no right, no business, and is indeed bound by the teachings of the Church to not go around telling people about it.

Veritas, you have sinned in this matter. I suggest you seek out the confessional and do penance for such an egregious offense against a Prince of the Church.

Well, I'm asking this veritas fellow how he can be gαy yet call himself a Christian. That in turn plays a big role in his credibility.

It seems to me that he has to mean one of two things. Either he is now faithful to the teaching of the Church, and should stop using the word gαy and describe himself as a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ. In that case he should probably only be discussing it with his confessor and perhaps a few close friends who will support him in both chastity and orthodoxy. Or, he actually thinks that identifying as gαy and disregarding the teaching of the Church on this issue is okay. If so, he should stop calling himself a Catholic.

Pax's point above is also well-taken, I think.
