Is it really that bad? I live in the San Fernando Valley and I don't think it is that bad. I do sort of live in one of the better areas, but I went to school in one of those "ghetto public schools"... my school was pretty much the home of the mentioned gangs "Mara Salvatrucha" and "Barrio Van Nuys." Maybe I've been desensitized.
