I decided to re-post and draw some attention to the Amazon banners here on CathInfo.

Many of you know that Amazon.com sells just about everything, and their prices are often the lowest for many items.

The only thing better than getting a good deal is getting a good deal and supporting your local Traditional Catholic message board!

It's a great way to say "Thank You" for years of work put into running this forum. CathInfo was started in August 2006. Besides the programming work and webhosting this forum requires, there are also the constant efforts required to keep CathInfo free of spammers, scammers, sneaks, and all manner of kooks. In general, it's a lot of work to keep a Trad forum like CathInfo relatively peaceful and pleasant.

Each time you visit Amazon.com, try to remember to start your session by clicking a link here on CathInfo -- there's a text link at the top of the screen, and a banner at the bottom. By doing so, I get credit. You don't pay anything extra -- it just comes out of Amazon's profits.

Thanks for the reminder, Matthew.

Every time I look at Amazon I think of Cath Info.

Maybe you could have some feature that recognizes when a CI member enters into Amazon through your link. Then members might realize that using your link makes a difference. As it is we don't have any 'feedback' so it's too easy to forget. Maybe if a picture would show up with pieces missing, and every time you go to Amazon through your link a piece would get filled in, like a jigsaw puzzle? I'm sure you could set that up. It's what you do!

Would it be too hard to make an Amazon banner that says "Click on this banner to enter Amazon so that Cath Info gets credit for your purchase!"
(or words to that effect)?

I have been remembering, but admit that until your reminder I have forgotten sometimes. I buy a lot from Amazon, and will keep trying to do the little I can to help you.

Just made an order thru CathInfo.

It might be a good idea for those of us who order through CI to post when they do. Ambrose's post bumped this thread to "New Posts" and since I check New Posts, it helped to remind me to do my Amazon order thru CI.
