    UTOPIA: "NOWHERE" NOW HERE

Solange Hertz. Mrs. Hertz is one of the very few Catholic historians ever to apply the principles of the faith unsparingly to American history. This captivating work builds on Pope Benedict XV's 1920 warning on the coming of a universal republic, to be founded on the absolute equality of men and on community of goods in which there will be no national distinction - no recognized authority of father over his children; nor public power over citizens; nor of God over men united in civil commonwealth. Following up on her best-selling blockbuster book "Star-Spangled Heresy," this book also shows the unending struggle between Christ's Kingship and Masonic democracy - and how key elements of the struggle have been played out in the United States. Relates Americanist heresy within the Church to anti-Christian political developments. Deals with such topics as the real attitude of the Founding Fathers to Catholicism, the significance of the martyrdom of Joan of Arc to this country, and the real reasons and results of the American French Revolutions. A revolutionary presentation of history that is key to understanding where we as Catholic Americans are - and how we got where we are. Must read for thinking orthodox Catholics. 200 pp. PB. ITEM #10846 $13.50

  • Two more must reads. If you read these  you will  understand all that Belloc, Raoul, Alexandria and I try to teach on Americanism and the evil it has brought
THE STAR SPANGLED HERESY: AMERICANISM – how the Catholic Church in America became The American Catholic Church – by Solange Strong Hertz – For over three decades Solange Hertz has explained and defended Catholicism with her pen. In this ground-breaking book, she rigorously applies Catholic principles to American History – perhaps the first Catholic writer to do so.  - $12.50

THE BATTLE FOR AMERINDIA by Solange Strong Hertz – published by The Remnant Press. - This book is one of Solange Hertz’ most riveting!  In it she looks at the attack on the Catholic Church in Canada, Mexico and the United States over the course of the last 500 years. This is another book that is a must have for home-schools! $15.00

  • Years ago I found the 2 volumns of "Trials and Triumphs of the Catholic Church in America" in an old book store.  It has the necessary Imprimatur and published in  1907 Hyland & Co.

I only read books with Imprimatur

    Please pray for my soul.

  • "I only read books with Imprimatur"

does not mean those are perfect either-would you read a book that had the Imprimatur of B16? or that Bavarian Bishop-cannot recall the name, that opposed VI infallibility dogma?

does every non-dogmatic book have to have that stamp?

or do you not read books like those named above due to content, not imprimatur?

by the way, I got for ignores in scarcly 12 hrs-hats off to you, must have been busy typing into the night.....thought you did not use "hide" button??

starting to think there is a cult going on in some at CMRI, typical cult mentality...group think, group action...hope this weekend, you step away from the  :smash-pc: :tv-disturbed: computer and get some fun, sun and fresh air.... :dancing-banana:
Proud "European American" and prouder, still, Catholic

  • Those books look interesting. Is this the writer who said that electricity is an invention of the devil and that we shouldn't use it?

  • A book doesn't necessarily have to have an Imprimateur but it would be a good idea to stay away from books on the Index.
There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

Yes, this is the same writer. Here's a thread from Angelqueen where her idea about electricity is mentioned: http://www.angelqueen.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=305660&sid=11e968557a4081b7aca6e07c755816f3

Here's a quote from an Amazon review of Beyond Politics:

"- Electricity is Satanic, illuminating the world with a false generated light, which in fact is Satan's darkness. Hertz believes electricity was in use by occult illuminates who built Atlantis and the Tower of Babel and was temporarily lost to most of humanity after the Flood and the overthrow of Babel. Hertz says the Bible does not "mention sizzling" when the circuits were burnt out during the Flood but concludes these technologies were in use since the beginning of time."

    Sounds far-fetched.

  • I don't know anything else about her. I just had a vague memory that she's the anti-electricity lady, and she is. I would have to read her thoughts on this matter before rejecting them, but it does sound ridiculous and unreasonable on the surface.

  • I remember that article quite well as it appeared in The Remnant about fifteen years or so ago.  Actually, it was quite good.  If it is available on the internet anywhere, maybe you should read the entire thing - as you say, Henry, on the surface it does sound silly.
