I just caught an add for an interesting book in a Vietnamese newspaper published around Southern California. Its entitled "Future of England, America, and Russia according to Biblical Prophecy. " - I have no idea about the background of the author (obviously he is Catholic, and not a hippie Novus Ordo) or what the book's contents contain.

The basic idea of the ad was that the author compiled extracts from the Book of Job (which he proposes contains prophecy concerning Communism) and the Prophetical books to illustrate how he thinks the near future will play out. He says that God will use Russia as "an iron rod" to punish the West for its depravity and apostasy. He writes that England, America, France, Germany and Italy will be completely destroyed and "wiped off the map" by Russia (he also adds that God specifically chose Russia to be the instrument of His wrath because the Russians are the fiercest and cruelest race on Earth - he continues that after Russia has finished her goal, God will destroy the Communists and not a single Communist will be left alive - he also adds that the Communists will then receive their reward, "the bottom of Hell"). After will follow a period of peace followed by the Second Coming, etc.

He claims that all this can be predicted with relative certainty down to the "hour, day, month, and year" and writes that all this is supported with Biblical prophecy.

Thoughts? It seems like a lot of the stuff here on CathInfo. Should I buy the book? It is not expensive.

The Vietnamese title is "Tuong Lai ba nuoc Anh-My-Nga trong Sam Kinh Thanh" and the author is Truong Tien Dat.

He held some sort of government position in the Republic of South Viet Nam I think.

Author Profile

Truong Tien Dat, a former senator and former chief justice of S. Vietnam, after 25 years of Bible study, has discovered a whole set of secret codes and appropriate keys in Bible Prophecy. Thanks to this discovery, he has unearthed hundreds of mysterious prophecies concerning the great events of the End Times. He even discovered the two Prophetic Books of Job and the Psalms. He is the first in history to find a secret code to open the Prophetic Book of Job and to discover a prophecy concerning Buddha and Buddhism. That sounds unbelievable! In this Book, Job said that God Himself has set up Buddhism! Also in Job, the author has found prophecy about a Nuclear War!

I have no idea how accurate that author profile is (it sounds rather strange) and I don't know if its a fair representation.

That book (not the one that I was referring to in my original post) does apparently link the book of Job to Buddha (as can be seen on the cover - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1591605962/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1591605962&linkCode=as2&tag=httpwwwchanco-20 but I would not be quick to assume that he is pro-Buddhist. The ad in the newspaper was in no way pro-Protestant, or typical sugar daddy Novus Ordo so I would be surprised if he took a pro Buddhist turn.

EDIT: Sorry for these constant updates by this is rather exciting. I've just read some of the bolded sections and he says that the true Pope will die, an anti-pope (the term he uses is literally "Devil King" so I don't know if he's talking about the Antichrist or what) will usurp the Vatican, and that tsunamis will destroy the American coasts.

Correction of the above post, he is not referring to an anti-pope, but to "Lord Maitreya" (which people here are familiar of). He writes that Maitreya was born Muslim and is living in London. I'm just skimming right now, but he says look out for these dates (only two of them have not past yet)

I think you need to take a cold shower. This guy has no credentials whatsoever. His book is through a self-publisher. They will print an instant book anytime he gets an order. All this and it only cost him $5,000 up front. Not only is he foolish with his money, he'd like to see you be foolish with yours.

The Alex Jones Show has been even better than usual lately. If you want to be on the front line as WWIII approaches, go and tune in there. The standard of guests on his show is quite amazing.

I would not trust anyone who says that there are secret codes in the Bible.
That sounds like sorcery.
We trust interpretation of Scripture through the Traditions, Theologians and Magesterium of our Church.

Freemasons said there were secret codes in the bible I think.
