  • Boniface is a heretic.
There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

  • Are you talking about the Pope you have decreed to be an antipope (contrary to the profession of the successors of St. Peter up until Pius X) or the new member on Cathinfo?

I agree. And if it is a picture of Boniface himself, then it is also being vain.

  • In any case, it amounts to mortal sin on his part for posting it whether it is him or not.

If it is mortally sinful alone to look on a woman to lust after her (St. Matthew 5:28, 1 Corinthians 6:9) then it is likewise for a woman to look on a man to lust after him.  It is scandalous to present material that might tempt another to sin mortally in this way, and we know what Christ said about scandals:

St. Matthew 18:7: "But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh."

  • The irony is that he called out "Spouse of Jesus" on a picture that he felt was "semi-erotic".  She had enough humility to take it down.  I wonder how she feels about his avatar?

Would she be right to call him a blind hypocrite?  Time will tell.

It is immodest because you placed it on a public forum. It does not belong there. It violates, at a minimum, virtuous decorum.

It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • Just because of a tank top? Goodness.
Better cover all those saints statues with their shirts off. Heck, every crucifix too.

    I was clothed.

  • Boniface, you did the right thing by taking down your avatar, even if you kicked and screamed about it.  I wonder if you know what modesty really is, why it is important, and the consequences of trivializing it?

Boniface, I have a lot to learn about humility - but I have at least already learned this lesson.

  •  Do you still believe Pope Pius XI and Pope Benedict XV were anti-popes?
