  • For those that don't watch the show, Blue Bloods is about the Reagan family...The Grandpa is a former NYC police commissioner, the father is the current NYC Police Commissioner and one of his kids is a detective, another a police officer, and another is in the DA's office. The Reagan's are supposedly Catholic.

Last night's episode an off duty officer witnesses an assault which eventually turns out to be a murder at what ends up being a gαy bar. The off duty officer hadn't come out of the closet and not even his partner or family knew he is a sodomite. Of course he has to come forward as a witness so this outs him as a sod. His family disowned him and his partner refused to work with him.

Of course the Commissioner gets questioned about this by reporters how he can promote the PD's policy of diversity with the Catholic Church's position on ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity. He tries to make a PC answer by saying something about separating his personal beliefs from his job but then the reporter follows up by saying, "Doesn't that mean you're just a Sunday Catholic then?" The Commissioner replies saying he thinks on this issue the Church is behind the times.

Earlier in the show, a supposed nun went to the commissioner about her Catholic school being slated for closure and she wanted the Commissioner to talk to the Cardinal whom he has lunch with once a week. The Cardinal had told him if he would be the keynote speaker at some award that he was handing out he would consider it. The Cardinal also wanted the Commissioner to accept the award but he had to decline because of Church and State issues but he did agree to come and speak.

After the Commissioner made his Church is behind the times comment the Cardinal told him he could either apologize or there was nothing he could do to help the sisters school. So, the Commissioner tried to write an apology that would satisfy the Church without making himself look like he was back tracking and he couldn't do it.

During the whole thing the grandfather was completely against sods but all the younger members of the family were it's OK to be gαy. Eventually they catch the murderer and the partner takes back his gαy partner.

At one point during the commissioner's talk with the Cardinal he reiterated that he does feel the Church is behind the times on this issue but he said, "Then again, I do miss the Latin Mass."

In the end, the Commissioner tells sister pant suit that there was nothing he could do because of his comments he made about the Church. Then the "sister" says that something like 30 years ago when she was going into the convent she kissed her girlfriend goodbye. She said she didn't regret anything she has done since entering the convent or before she entered the convent.

So there you have it...another show promoting sodomy and a sister living in mortal sin throughout her entire time as a "nun", since it didn't appear she had repented of her sodomy before entering the convent since she was proud of being a sodomite before entering the convent.

No matter what show you watch no matter what it's about, the fαɢɢօt lobby always gets their agenda slipped in.

  • where to begin with Blue Bloods?  If the Reagan family is supposed to be Catholic, they are as liberal novus ordo as you can get.  It's the favorite of my very novus ordo mother, brothers and sisters, who call it a Catholic show!  They think it's awesome that the family gets together for Sunday dinner and say grace... while holding hands. The first few seasons they did not say grace, but did the protestant style of making up a prayer of thanks.
By watching it, you can see how far novus ordites have descended in moral compromise.  This show, like ALL of Hollywood, just wants to further soften the audience (which ratings illustrate are hugely Catholic) to feminism (promoted on this show big time), sodomy, fornication (family members), abuse and indignities justified by "the law" (family member who regularly uses outrageous force because he has a bad temper), and the acceptance of all lifestyles and religions in the name of tolerance.  It's revolting.
They are not a Catholic family. They are not even prots, because they never invoke the name of their Savior.  At least prots do that much.

  • Why is there so many "Catholic" characters on TV?  The US certainly is not known for being a Catholic country. I would think most "Christians" on TV would be Protestant.  I guess the elites in Hollywood don't  consider Protestantism a real threat to them.

I've thought about this too and I think it's because catholicism offers the writers such a vast amount of material to work with; the sign of the cross, genuflecting, rosary beads, statues, votive candles, nuns in or out of habits, beautiful churches, the pope etc etc etc.  And lets not forget chastity or lack thereof.

Catholicism is big business = $$$$$$$ for pagan Hollywood

But I'm still glad to see it because God can work wonders and maybe use this trash to prick the consciences of fallen catholics. I've seen this work with the first several seasons of "Murdock Mysteries"
"Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered: and them that hate Him flee from before His Holy Face"  Psalm 67:2[/b]

Furthermore, if you're watching via DBS or through a cable "box", what you watch is logged by the provider. So, when you watch this program, the eyeball count goes up a click, ensuring THIS show is worth more advertising $$.

The answer is simple:  most TV shows are supposed to take place in large cities in the eastern United States, all of which have large, novus ordo, Catholic populations.

They don't bless themselves before grace.
