  • In short:

    1) 1984 is the story of the Party's desire to dominate man;

    2) Even his ability to reason (2 + 2 = 5)

    3) Until they get you to believe this, they are not satisfied

    4) Because even your mind must be under their control

    5) 911 was a great step forward in getting this power

    6) It has greatly advanced the formation of the police state

    7) Which has as its goal the domination of men

    8) When the American "Party" realizes final power, do you think you will be allowed to give the veneration to God the party desires to have for itself?

    9) Do you think the party will tolerate Catholicism (or even a notion of God)?

    10) This is why he talks about 911, etc.

    11) Religion will not be possible unless the police state is averted.

    12) It is therefore eminently relevent that such topics find their way into the pulpit.
    Rom 5: 20 - "But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more."

  • 13) And to warn us that these times are coming

    14) That we may pray to God to strengthen our Faith

    15) That we do not crumble before our persecutors like Winston did before O'Brien.

  • A vital sermon to promote. I agree with the Bishop that a Catholic shouldn't believe in the official 9/11 story. Same for the sacred six million story. Many thanks to Seraphim for reminding us of this excellent sermon.
