If someone can keep the rest of us informed about Bishop Williamson it wouold be greatly appreciated! Does anyone know if it is true that he is no longer with the Society? What is the story as to what is going to happen to him??? I didn't know that England has a law like Germany does regarding denying the holacost.

To my knowledge he's still in the SSPX. Bishop Fellay has just asked him to "lay low" in so many words. (Which given the media frenzy, is probably the best thing for everyone.)

But I'm sure the media would like people to think he isn't in the SSPX. They seem to have a thing about presenting the SSPX bishops as divided, fighting, etc.

I've only read one thing suggesting that the SSPX wishes to remove +W from the Society if he doesn't recant, but I didn't see it as being very credible.

He had to leave Argentina because they gave him 10 days to get out or be arrested. As far as I've read, he's "safe" (from arrest, that is) in England for the time being.

Practically every day I read about some new Orwellian law they have going into effect in England. Very creepy. I hope he's safe there.

Well, not being famous it's probably hard for us to relate, but there's a difference between being in a disguise, and not advertising "Bishop Williamson here!"

He might have been going more for the latter -- otherwise he would barely be able to get to the plane without reporters hounding him. He has a famous face.

But that doesn't necessarily mean he'd want to dress up as a construction worker or something.
