What is it about Ron Paul that appeals a lot to trads?

He's the underdog and appears to be a beacon of truth to some people.

I personally have my reservations about him and would like to keep my distance from him. (That's made easy by living in Canada

How is Ron Paul an underdog? He wins every pole and every debate, sometimes by a margin which is truely amazing.

He certainly is not perfect, but if he doesn't win the next election, I'd say we're all in big trouble, no matter where we live.
