If we assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the priest prays that we are "una cuм" with a pope who is an idolator and an apostate and prays for the local ordinary, a novus ordo bishop who is in communion with that pope, are we guilty of the same idolatry and apostasy?
Funny, no one wanted to touch this question, not even Sean Johnson
Most of the time, we don’t hear the celebrant using the pope’s name... or should I say we don’t want to hear it during the Holy Mass?
There you are, reading and meditating the words of the sacred liturgy, and then you hear the name... “Francis”.
“Francis!!!” :o What’s going on?
As I understand it, the SSPX makes it mandatory for their priests to include Francis in their Masses.
Many independent priests do it too.
I know one priest who will only say “Benedict”.
Personally, when I read the Liturgy, I only use the word “Pope” and sometimes I say, “ the true Pope”.
I just can’t bring myself to say “Francis”.
But to take a stab at answering your question:
Could it be that Our Lord has allowed this “non canonically elected Peter”, This “destroyer” Pope to occupy the visible seat so as to test the hearts of the faithful?
St. Francis of Assisi is reported to have forewarned his Franciscan brothers of this exact papal crisis from his deathbed.
