    two unconnected parts of the same speech and is not meant to be viewed as if it is one paragraph that he spoke.

    (part one) "Whatever we once were we are no longer a Christian nation."

    (part two from a different part of the speech) "Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with er Leviticus which suggests slavery is ok and that eating shellfish is an abomination or we could go with er Deuteronomy which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith or should we just stick to the sermon on the mount, a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own defence department would survive it's application?"
