  • Hello all,

I don't understand this forum "Catholic Answers". There was a lot of discussion, so I joined up.

First of all, there was a poster called "NewsTheMan" who seemed to make good posts. He got into an argument with someone concerning receiving Holy Communion while standing. In response to someone's question on why it was introduced in the first place, he wrote among other things that it was 'introduced to destroy belief in the real presence'. I originally thought he was meaning the modernist American Bishops at the time (finding out later he was actually referring to the early Protestants in Europe during the Protestant Revolt), so I agreed with his post. I received an infraction for "encouraging a post that was disrespecting the American Bishops".

Later on, I found in the 'Traditional Catholicism' section someone accusing what seemed to be another traditionalist of not believing in all the Church's teachings because he didn't agree with receiving Holy Communion while standing. I butted in, promptly correcting him with "False, Communion while standing is not a teaching of the Church" and "It is simply novelty". I received an infraction for being "disrespectful", which resulted in a 30 day suspension.

About 25 days into the suspension, I got tired of it so I circumvented it by making another account called "CrushModernists". I made a few posts (can't remember if any were controversial or not) and then found myself with a permanent ban for circumvention.

I sent an appeal, and they responded explaining why I received infractions. They explained that not only did I receive a ban for circumvention, but I actually received an infraction as well because the name "CrushModernists" causes 'division' and is 'confrontational'. They said they would discuss the issues with me and work with me. I sent another email back explaining that nothing I said was incorrect, however accepting blame for the circumvention. I said that the forum rules were not clear, and more often than not the admin just arbitarily bans/infracts opinions he doesn't like.

I received a response telling me that because of lack of 'contriteness' (for lack of a better word) the permanent ban will be upheld.

They just found out I circumvented it again with a proxy. Bah, I can't even be bothered trying to use that forum any more.

    Rant over.

Anyone else had problems with this forum? It seems to be a very popular forum.

    TT.

  • I've never had any problems with them because I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

  • I've had the same problem...I have been warned numerous times, and banned several...I just came off of a thirty day suspension....it's a waste of time posting comments there...unless you sit down and shut up regarding the Novus Ordo faith.

  • I was banned for "contempting Catholicism" and "refusal to follow moderator directions". That forum is such a joke, not to mention the mods there are liars.

When you enter the Lions Den - and a Lion decides to make lunch out of you - then you have little to complain about.

    That forum is Novus Ordo.

In order for them to allow you to tell the Truth - they would have to go back on most of their beliefs.

Make no mistake - the Novus Ordo is an entirely new religion.   It isnt Catholic. It was created by modernists for modernists.

My observation is not that I am surprised that you got permanently banned - but rather - how long it took before it happened.  Face it - it is inevitable.   There is no a single person in this forum who can conduct the same open discussions we have here,  there without being banned eventually.

Now , knowing this - why are they so afraid of someone standing up for Traditional Catholicism.

I remember bringing up the Subject of Women covering their heads in Church there - and I fully supported my argument both from a Canon law perspective 1917 vs 1983 -  and through several examples of historical and proper Scriptural exegesis of 1 Cor 11.

Obviously I became an instant problem.  From that point on it was only a matter of time for me as well.

In closing let me simply say Congratulations on a job well done

    Pax

  • You just figured out CAF is a joke. Congratulations!

Yes the mods don't make any sense. Not sure why they even go through the long and tedious formality before permabanning Trads. They make you think you will be treated fairly, with their infraction system, but, as usual, they just use it to get to the end they desire.

Their system is flawed however. I still go there - not to post but to moniter the things being said after they "permanently banned" me.  So much for the power of censorship

  • Thomas, frankly, your experience has corroborated my impressions of Catholic Answers, the New Evangelization, the EWTN coverup operation, and the whole lousy post V2 religious industrial complex and their conditioning centers called Catholic schools and universities.

I am continually amazed at how traditionalists are treated so horribly by  the novus ordo and its propagandists - proud, uneducated, usefull idiots if ever there were.  And very self righteous. They definitely have all the answers.  Just ask them. After all, they welcome all callers from whatever faith or background or belief.  Just not traditionalists.  Now sit down, shut up, and move to the back of the bus.

Interestingly, just this morning my novus ordo wife told me she's not going to deal with "my anger toward the church" anymore.  (However, in defense of myself I have to say that I am often called "angry" when I simply disagree with the novus ordo mindset.  It makes them feel very threatend, whether it's my wife, my 90 year old mother, my siblings, etc.  Our children, of course, don't care because, well, they don't care. (And hasn't that been the desired end of "Catholic education" since V2 and the modernist invasion?)

"Yes, dear",  I sure don't want to be "an angry white male", and not have people like me.  Because, after all, the thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars that we and my parents pumped into "Catholic education"(sic),including our own, has left us with children who live with their girlfriends, don't go to mass, etc.  The usual.  And yes, I'll take all of the blame; but I sure as hell didn't need the backstabbings that we got from the what we thought were Catholic schools teaching - AND INCULCATING - the faith, and morals.  What was I thinking?  Looking back I can recall so many hideous, blatant instances of corruption in those places by the people who were supposedly teaching us, and then our children, that I was as blind as blind can be.  Obviously quite a sinner myself.

Aw, what the heck.  If we just give it another 50 or so years I'm sure all of the "misunderstandings" and "misinterpretations" of V2 will be all straightened out.

Let's admit it folks.  (Or at least I have to admit it for myself.) A lot of us listen to their radio or tv, or read the novus ordo sights, just to satisfy a morbid curiousity about the latest novus ordo atrocity, and then we/I get angry.  But then, let's also admit that no one likes being played for a sucker.  And once you find out that you have been played for a sucker, it seems quite natural to get upset.  Very upset.

And I've got to stop that.  I think it shows a lack of faith and trust in Our Lord and his Blessed Mother.  Leave the dead to bury the dead.
And I want my money back.  My parents too.

Valid points all.  but to clarify - I go there to watch as the Novus Ordo self implodes.   As for religious dialogue - the Novus Ordo is a man made religion akin to Protestantism in my view. They have nothing to offer the serious Catholic who loves GOD and who wants to save his soul and the souls of others.

But they are a threat to Traditional Catholicism.  Look no further than the current situation with SSPX and their overtures for reunification.  And make no mistake - if that reunification takes place and SSPX Splinters - I see the Novus Ordo pulling out all stops to attempt to destroy Sedevacantism.  Hense the reason your wife lables you as "Angry".  Demonization is the first step to genocide.

They dont fool me one bit. So I moniter their actions

  • Deo,

    Welcome and right on.

Absolutely nothing wrong with posting at CAF sharpening the apologetics skills against the Neo-Cats. Problem is that these days, you can barely get three Traditional posts in without being banned. The mods there are hair-trigger to the point you can't even have a discussion.

You are not allowed to question their premise that the NO is equal to the "EF". Not even allowed to prefer the "EF". Just using the term Novus Ordo may get you banned. If they had the same zero tolerance they do for Trads, towards error, they'd be Saints by now.

I feel for your situation with your wife. A wise priest once told me to lay off the NO Mass criticism with family and friends. They take it personally because that's the Mass they attend. The only way they are going to listen to you is if Tradition changes you for the better and they can see the fruits.

That said, I agree the Bogus Ordo is a complete fraud. They indeed have everything figured out don't they? It's called blind obedience! Black is white if authority says it is. They are a blind and sad lot. Then again, there but by the grace of God go I. It's only by His grace that any of us saw the light.

  • I sincerely appreciate your responses.  Interestingly enough - and this is arrogant, an ongoing feature of mine - our children know that there is something there insofar as the true faith goes,  and they seem to observe my behavior very closely, and give it more credibility than what they have been exposed to in the novus ordo.  So I remain hopeful for them, and my wife.

In fact, I suspect, and I have no factual basis for saying this, that someday before I die the novus ordo will really mess up to the point that many, many of them will have to concede and return to the church.

As an aside, I notice that the novus ordo is co-opting the term "traditionalist" and is using that as a new entry point on its marketing of the "new evangelization".  And,of course, they've always thought that as far as the word "orthodox" goes, that a person had to be talking about them.
As the old maxim goes, control the terms of the debate and you control the outcome of the debate.

Man, Malleus 01, I've made the point about marginalization and then genocide in other contexts, but I guess I should see the red laser dot pointed at my own chest.  Good point.  (pun intended)

It's also true that a person should not tie into novus ordinates too often.  But sometimes I've had enough and feel that someone has to stand up to them. It just amazes me that they still keep showing up and giving money.

And interestingly enough, when I respond with a firm but controlled retort to the novus ordo madness, that's when our children seem to get focused about it all, and they have never, ever, given me any guff about being a throwback.  In fact, I honestly think they like it because they have seen me at my best and my worst, but they've followed me so far.  I told them when they were young that I may be wrong at times but I wasn't going to lie to them.  And they responded positively. Seeing me on my knees saying the rosary, and knowing the rogue that I am has somehow, and here I'm being presumptous and arrogant again, edified them.

    Deo Vindice
