  • BAN ME PLEASE!!!

ATTN: Cathinfo and especially Jehanne I have been admonishmed by a friend and I repent of my scandalous remark to Jehanne, where I condoned his baptizing his child.  Don, I was wrong to applaud your actions.  I should have said IF ONLY YOU WERE CATHOLIC, that is if you were not in spiritual communion with Apostate Rome.  However, I failed to include this addendum, and lest I should appear before the Sovereign Judge, who said "that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment", I abjure and repent of what I said, and I add that I do not want to be condemned for encouraging your to raise your child in communion with the heretics and schismatics of the Novus Ordo Church.

I have sinned through my own fault, bowing to human respect and rather than telling you the truth, that your child would grow up to be a schismatic along with you, I blindly took the devil's bait.

Don, I sincerely hope that you have, since the date of your departure from Cathinfo, rejected the apostate antipopes of the 20th century and have come to profess certain Catholic truths I knew you not to hold.

If I have ever, through omission or commission given anybody else here who is in communion with apostate Rome, who is not baptized, or who professes contrary to any one dogmatic definition of the Holy See the impression that they are Catholic, on the way of salvation, or pleasing to God, then I repent and abjure of my slothful folly and cowardice.  Further I assert that I do not know of any single person on Cathinfo who has not been severed from the body of Christ, the One, Holy, Catholic  and Apostolic Church.

NOW PLEASE BAN ME SO THAT I MAY NEVER POST HERE AND ACCIDENTALLY COMMUNE WITH HERETICS OR SCHISMATICS IN SUCH A MANNER AGAIN.

Ban the CM2 account as well, since it is still active.

    Thank you.

  • Wow, CM, you're as hard on yourself as you are on others.  When you regret something you've done, try to personalize it more, think of how you caused Our Lord sorrow and grief of heart, and ask Him for pardon with that mindset.  When Our Lord is saddened by our sins, it's more because He loves us, and grieves for the harm we have done to ourselves, and never because of some self-absorbed outrage.  If you beat yourself up over every delict, you can destroy yourself psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Contrition can sometimes take on the nature of being motivated by pride rather than by love.  Jesus said that St. Mary Magdalene was forgiven much because she loved much.  That cold garment-rending self-indulgent histrionic "contrition" of the Pharisees didn't cut it.  I'm not trying to beat up on you.  I speak from personal experience--and was in that same dark place for some time during my life.  And I just sense a little tendency towards this in your post.  We know that the devil is incredibly intelligent, and he can turn even our attempts at virtue into vice.  There's such a thing as selfish self-denial and proud humility.

We are all sinners.  Take it easy on yourself and trust in Our Lord's Mercy.  We can stray by exagerrating either one over the other.

  • Lad, you sure are a sucker for these guys and all their pretentious contrivances.  He doesn't actually believe any of it, it's all an act, it's what he thinks looks really good.

  • Yikes.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • Since CM, if he has any sense, will be extremely embarrassed about this post later, it would be in keeping with Christian charity not to harass him about it.  Just let it be.

  • Why take a chance? Because Catholics don't play fast-and-loose with the sacraments. There must be positive doubt before sacraments are conditionally administered; it is not done willy-nilly.

And while anyone can validly baptize, you seem to ignore the liciety of such actions under normal circuмstances.

  • I second the above post.  If your baptism is -- heaven forbid -- not valid, you have baptism of desire.  But if everyone were to go around baptizing each other because we doubt the intentions of the priest, it would quickly lead to sacrilege.

    =========================

You can repent if you commit a sacrilege. If a human soul is not baptized , you have have endangered their eternal salvation. Doubt the intentions of the priest ? - Some very responsible Catholics believe that priestly vows have been invalid since the 1960's . This is the great apostasy. You have to do the best you can to survive under the present circuмstances. Intentions of the priest ? You can't even depend on your own family in the end times period that is known for betrayal.  While we are on the subject of intentions, when they say peace, peace, then comes sudden destruction.

  • Classiccom,

The Church does not permit us to commit any sin whatsoever intentionally, with later repentance in mind. This is called presumption. Sacrilege in this case is a mortal sin, so the baptizer and baptized would in the same action receive sanctifying grace and expel it from their souls.

I don't dispute that you can doubt the intentions of priests. Canon law requires positive doubt, however, not mere suspicion.

Canon Law ? - We are now under spiritual martial law. It is a lie for you to imply that this counterfeit anti-Church has something to do with Cannon law. That's like sending a serial killer over to check on your health just because he has a doctor's license. Not hard to imagine canon law being evoked for all people to bow down and worship the antiChrist.

The true Church, symbolized by a woman in Apocalypse 12, was forced to flee into the wilderness for 1260 "days." - Not all Catholics believe in Fatima.  You can stay with canon law and crazy eyes.
