Here in Los Angeles, we had rain this morning while we slept.

God cleaned up the streets and sidewalks.

Now it is 7:13 AM, and while the sky is partly cloudy, the rain has stopped.

It is now a glorious morning with red reflections in the western clouds of the sun rising in the East.

That sounds lovely. Here in Kansas it seems like we've only had a few sunny days in the past couple months. The rain has been almost non stop!

At last, yesterday evening, the second day after the time change, I glanced out the window and stopped abruptly. It was there that I beheld it, a Kansas sunset in all of it's romantic glory- the kind that quickens my heart. Just for a moment I slipped away from my sick children and dinner duty to step outside to experience it better. What a treat it was! A slight breeze, no trace of winter sting, and birds singing. The light shining through the wet trees illuminated everything with a bright golden tint.  It was such a sweet gift from God that strengthened my weary soul! It was just the nudge I needed to renew my fervor.
