  • I need someone to help me find a traditional priest in the Aurora Illinois area.

My aunt who is 93 with dementia is dying in a nursing home.  She gave birth to 10 children in her youth, so you know she lived her Catholic life.

I would like to have a number to pass on to relatives there, and pray they will call the priest.  (relatives that are now all dabbling in different belief) but love their mother, my aunt.  Hopefully they will, with God's grace call a true priest.

If you know of a kind priest that is willing to see her, please either post it here or email me at:
        emailMyrna@yahoo.com

    Thank you, and God bless
    Myrna
    Please pray for my soul.

  • A priest ordained in the Old Rite, who is willing to administer the Last Sacraments according to tradition.  I will have to leave the rest up to God.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • I wonder where Fr. Thielen is.  He was in Illinois, I thought.  Fr. Ahern may know of his where abouts.

  • Thanks LordPhan,

I was born and raised in Chicago; some time ago I visited my home town and attended Mass at that very chapel.

I have two people who emailed me with the same name of a priest who is very close to my aunt, I passed on the information to the family, but they were not very receptive.  All I can do now is pray they come around and cooperate with God's grace.
    Please pray for my soul.

Myrna, I shall join you in praying the family will call the priest for your godmother.

God bless and keep her in her final perseverance.

  • Could you or anyone else offer proof in court that this is what she would want?  If so, you might consider asking a judge to appoint a Guardian Ad Litem, who can make sure that he wishes and rights are respected.

  • A good story about a family I know. When an athiest father of one of our parishioners was dying, her brother stated a priest would come only over his dead body. Seeking comfort she related this to one of the Sisters(nuns). One of the Sisters then went to one of the younger Priests in this area and told him of what was going on.

This holy Priest then travelled to the Hospital, disguised in an overcoat snuck into the room and talked to the woman's father. This was at great risk since he had been warned beforehand that if the woman's athiest brother were to catch him in there he'd probably use physical force upon the Priest.

The Priest however not only was not discovered, he was able to talk to the dying man, and convice him to be Baptized. They tell me that as he was dying he was invoking the name of our Lord repeatedly.

I thought maybe it would be inspiring?
