    • the Atlanta archdiocese has instructed its parishes and schools not to participate in fundraising activities for the Komen Foundation.
    A memo circulated among the institutionis of the archdiocese acknowledges the contributions of the Komen Foundation toward a cure for breast cancer, but cites the organisation's continuing ties to Planned Plarenthood as reason to avoid connections that could become an "occasion of scandal."
