  • Are the fasts of today, All Saints day, the Immaculate Conceptionon and Christmas, universal?

I live in central America and I have no idea what the fasting rules of my country were.

We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • They are certainly universal observances in the Latin rite.  Whether they are holy days my change from place to place.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • No, the fasts were not universal. In fact there was a dispensation from the observation of the fasts for territories that were under the Spanish empire due to the Bull of the Crusades.

  • I believe the fast is universal on the vigil of these feasts, in preparation for them.

Yes. You don't fast on feast days.
