Hey pooch, you keep giving me examples of martyrs from long time past.

I'm telling you that most "christians" today are spinelss coawrds who would never entertain for a second about dying for their faith, most wouldn't even inconvenience themselves for a few momments in defense of their faith.

To me, today's "christianity" in the West , especially in America is a joke.

Give me some modern examples to prove different.

There are many Catholics dying as martyrs today, in Nigeria, Sudan, China, Indonesia, and other places.

What part of the "West" aren't you getting?

  • Two articles I usually give people are

    (a)The Almsless Catholic
    (b)Why Are Catholics Cowards?

Yesterday, I was travelling back from leafleting and activism when I met a girl I know at the bus station. She had been in another place leafleting and being active.

Ironically, part of our chat on the bus was about  why more Catholics don't involved.

Jean Ousset made the point in 'Action' that some just don't have the inclination.

The girl was a bit annoyed people are not helping out. It's an interesting topic.

I experience this often and have to do things myself sometimes.

Having said there were many at the All Night Prayer Vigil outside the parliament, who want to get more involved in Catholic Action and help out.

Often people make excuses. Naturally, there are genuine reasons but as Ousset said, many have no inclination.

Also in Ireland even among SSPX are eager to help out but don't know how. Good sorts, well intentioned.

What needs to be avoided is people going off in tangents and reaching a dead end.
