Has anyone read "The Horn of the Unicorn"?  Is it a good read?  From what I've seen there is some fascinating stuff written in this book by Dr. David Allen White....

In his biography of Lefebvre, The Horn of the Unicorn,[page needed] David Allen White said that Lefebvre received a small number of votes (variously reported as three or "several") in the August 1978 conclave that elected Pope John Paul I, a matter that, he said, caused some consternation among the cardinals, as Lefebvre was not a cardinal, and casting a vote for a non-cardinal in a papal election is unusual, although permitted by Church law.

And this...     Dr. White says, "But allow me to share a comment made to me once by the late Fr. Malachi Martin, 'Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and Bishop Antonio de Castro Mayer are the two great saints of the modern Church. Once this catastrophe ends they will be instantly canonized.'"

Angelus Press sells it, so it must be pretty legit.

Worth the twenty bucks?

  • They are both fantastic books, easy to read quickly and very inspiring/edifying. They are certainly worth $20.
