  • If the Chinon Parchment( which is probably a fraud) absolved Templars, the Bulls of Pope Clem V would be repealed: this has not happened. Quit spread disinfo

    See the 2007 repeal: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-vatican-templars/knights-templar-win-heresy-reprieve-after-700-years-idUSL093422320071012

Nevertheless, if they were innocent of heresy, it seems there was quite a bit of immorality, such that I will no longer be defending them.

  • My guess is that you have not even read the Bulls of Clem V...

There are some of us here that Do Not recognise  authority of the v2 anti-church nor any of it's actions. Therefore the alleged reprieve of Templars is actually not.

This is correct-- it is mucho more than heresy

  • Infallible Bulls of Pope Clement V re: condemnation of KTemplars

    VOX IN EXCELSO
    AD PROVIDAM
    CONSIDERANTES
    NUPER IN CONSILLO
    LICET DUDEM
    LICET PRIDEM
    UNTITLED-- 22 MARCH 1312
    --------------1 DEC 1312
    -------------- 31 DEC 1312
    -------------- 13 JAN 1313

    :baby:
Those bulls were not infallible proclamations. They may have referred to matters of discipline but not matters of faith and morals.

  • In light of all this, I will be changing my avatar soon to that of a Knight Hospitaller.

    How about this one?

  • My husband was fixated on them about two years ago.  He knows a lot about them.

Sorry but to gain a better understanding of Papal Infallibility, I would advise reading Fr Cuthbert- Butler History Of Vatican Council :fryingpan:

  • Fr Butler explains levels of Papal Infallibility as follows

1-- Church Council such as Nicea, Trent etc w/ Placet of the Pope
    2-- Papal Bull
    3-- Papal Encyclical

    ---- Everything else

    Roscoe,

Is Pope Francis infallible when he changes the "Gloria In Excelsis Deo" ?

  • Roscoe,

Is Pope Francis infallible when he changes the "Gloria In Excelsis Deo" ?
Or when he changes the Pater Noster?
