  • Ok, for the record here is the offensive post -- and looking at it now, I have to admit, it is a screed:

    Quote from: Prodinoscopus
    Quote from: Dawn
All that these that you recognize as Pope must be obeyed, in other words you accept the invalid Mass of Paul VI. No questions. You accept the invalid orders. No questions. You obey when the Pope says you are not to ordain anyone. No questions. You realize that when the Pope puts out something like Dominus Jesus, completer with doctinal errors about the Church and Salvation, that you must accept it. You see, Your Sovereign Pontiff ratified and confirmed it. You must accept, no wiggle room. And, acceept the errors too.

This boneheaded nonsense is too ridiculous to even merit a response.

    Quote from: Dawn
You who recgonize Benedict, John Paul and Paul VI must to accept the Novus Ordo. No equivacations. For you surely know that the Council of Trents states "If anyone says that the ceremonies, vestments and outward signs, which the Catholic Church uses in the celebration of Masses, are incentives to impiety rather thatn the service of piety:let him be anathema.

Again, utterly ridiculous. A valid Pope can concoct a liturgy that is an incentive to impiety. Trent never envisaged such a possibility, yet it happened.

    Quote from: Dawn
The man you recognize as True Pope has stated loudly that Catholic Church is not the only way to salvaton ...

This is actually a lie, and your loud pronouncement of this lie underscores the main problem with sedevacantism.

I would like for you to hold your lying tongue long enough to go out and find the quote that proves that Benedict XVI stated the following words:

"The Catholic Church is not the only way to salvation."

You run along now and find that quote. I'll be here waiting. Also, if you can prove that Benedict XVI was warned against repeating that statement and that he repeated it again and again after being warned, you might have a case that Benedict XVI is a manifest and pertinacious heretic.

Here's a hint. You won't find any such quote, and thus your statement above is an outrageous, soul-damning lie.

This sort of idiocy is precisely why I'm done trying to argue with sedevacantists.

Yes, that was really over the top, and quite ungentlemanly of me.

Dawn, if you're reading this, come on back. My behavior was atrocious and I apologize.

Roscoe, I apologize to you as well, and to anyone else whom I've offended with my rants.
Exile in Novus Ordo land ... please pray for me!

  • There is no need to apologise to me. And for the record again-- Dawn, myself and PFT are not 'sede' vacantists' as we are not even sure there is such a thing. We believe that the evidence shows Greg XVII to be the truely elected Pope in 1958. We recognise a different faction that's all.

We also understand(like Copernicus) that there are problems with this position but just see it as much more likely than the v2 'church'. Ciao

  • I believe that there may be evidence to support that Gregory XVII was the elected pope in 1958, but I haven't found concrete evidence to support it. I am looking into it to the best of my ability, but I can't say for sure. Whatever I do find, however, I will be sure to share if I find anything concrete to support it.

Right now, I'm a sede impedetist, meaning, I believe the throne of Peter has been usurped by someone that is a pretender in the place of the person that should rightfully be sitting there, whoever it is, but that is not a sede vacantist, who believes that there is no pope.

I hope that clarifies my position.

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • I used your moniker because you have formally declared for Greg XVII in the past.

  • Well, I still feel dreadful about my churlish behavior.  That is no way to treat a lady, especially not in a Catholic forum.

Dawn, I hope that you will accept my sincere apologies and can be persuaded to return.

Exile in Novus Ordo land ... please pray for me!
