Title: Apologetics MISSION!
Post by: Matthew on July 24, 2008, 10:45:40 AM
I found a protestant site -- #2 on Google when you search for "Catholic doctrine" -- full of age-old protestant errors.

Anyhow, the page (not really a full site) doesn't seem to be updated often, and it's not even that optimized for search engines! That is, they haven't done much SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

SEO is in my line of work, as it's related to web programming.

Anyhow, I think it would be great to EDIT their exact webpage, only REPLACE THE LIES WITH THE TRUTH including scripture quotes, etc. I think the info is all out there, and much of it could be done off the top of your head.

I could take the resulting file, and optimize it, then host it on my website and submit the page to Google, MSN, and Yahoo search engines. It would end up with a higher place than the original error-filled page, and many confused souls might be saved!

Well, there's no problem with "hot water" as we'd just be using his webpage as a template to create an "antidote" as it were.

And I'd use my SEO skills to make sure that "antidote" appeared higher in Google than the original webpage.

I did (most) of the first item: I suppose it will take some time, unless I can get some help.

Here's an updated ZIP file with the page, and the graphics that come with it.

Or why not make a whole new Catholic doctrine site as part of Cathinfo... eg, put the "info" in Cathinfo... and just drum them out?

Or better yet, make a load of little pages and drum him right off page 1

Here's a good site you might want to use to come up with your ammo:

http://www.catholicapologetics.info/

It was created by Fr. Raymond Taouk, an SSPX priest.
He is from Australia but his family is from Lebanon. I knew him at the seminary, and he's a zealous apologist.

Yes, I'll post the Summa Theologica in PDF form (18 MB) but I think the average person needs the simple questions distilled from that.

It would be like someone asking for help in fixing a pipe, and a bystander -- to be helpful -- throws a plumbing manual at them.  :reading:
