If not before then, I will see the person who owns said book on Friday.
I will ascertain the title then and post ASAP.
Caveat: I am sure it is a Protestant book; it may be that it was written by some "high church" people like Pres-byterians or some such.
The cursory glance I gave it, however, seemed to agree with what I have heard from Catholic sources: the idea that the Church is carrying forward the worship and hierarchy of the Temple which God commanded Israel to have, only, of course, in all its fulfilled and revealed form now under Christ.
Deo gratias, I was able to explain a bit of that concept to my wife, who has been struggling with the idea that "the church" today is not EITHER Prot or Catholic, but is solely a matter of one's personal, subjective faith, which one cannot ultimately be held accountable for in Heaven.
Pray for us; she was raised in the Novus Ordo with compromised, worldly parents including an alcoholic father who never attended Mass at all.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
